Pretend I have an OC; it's actually kind of important.
I don't know how many of you guys are familiar with them, but the folks over at The Good HiE List have asked me to partake in this week's podcast. I'm really honored to have this opportunity, as they have a good following, and have hosted a fair few authors I have a deep respect for.
To be honest, I've kind of been dismissing the idea for a while. I'm sure you guys are aware that I haven't written anything with humans in it (at least, not yet (and with no current plans to)), and I figured that would immediately disqualify me. On top of that, some of the interviewers are actually very close friends of mine, and I didn't want anyone accusing them of favoritism. They drive a hard bargain though; the podcast's recent weeks have included writers who also have never written a Human in Equestria story, and they pointed out that my works have been featured on Equestria Daily, Royal Canterlot Library, and Seattle's Angels. Humble as I try to be, I am really proud of those accomplishments. So their pro-bono nepotism has a decent argument behind it.
I'm both excited and a little intimidated. The questions on the cast tend to get a little bit crazy, but I can't help but be insanely curious what kind of questions I might get. So, I extend this to you! For those of you who have actually read my work, this is your opportunity to ask me about whatever story helped lead you here! A few examples, if you like:
Whatever happened to Octavia's dad in Octavia's Reprise?
Why haven't you written a story for anyone in the Mane 6 other than Pinkie Pie?
I just read The Longevity Theory. You, uh... You okay?
Okay, seriously, wtf is that Ponies Protecting Ponies ending.

As an extra piece of information, I also want to let you guys know that I'm working on a small little something right now. Nothing too fancy or crazy, but it's a cute little story that I'm looking to have ready to go before the cast. I'm hoping it'll serve as a nice morsel to help ease in any newcomers that might get curious after listening in this coming Saturday night.
