Hard At Work: An Interlude · 12:10am Feb 12th, 2017
We join Jade Ring at his desk in his nearly organized office. "So apparently PresentPerfect had no idea I was a dude! How hilarious is that?" He doubles over with laughter. "And then Aragon of all people pops in and..."
Jade realizes that there is nobody there. He has been writing for three hours straight. Delirium has set in.
Oh well. Past the point of no return.
He spins back to his laptop and continues work on the latest chapters of 'the Wicker Mare' and 'On Swift Wings.'
"So Luna and Golden Haze are watching Moon Shadow play with the little Changeling Queen who actually has a name but I'm purposely leaving it out so Yami, Spiritus, Triforce, and the other Continuity Faithful are teased a little more, and then Luna tells Haze that she knows about..."
He pauses. Fresh inspiration has struck. He switches to the other Word file.
"Twilight watches as Applejack speaks to the villagers, the strange look of contentment on Pinkie Pie's face sticking out in her mind... Ha. KingMoriarty was surprised to see Cheerilee and Rarity as a ship. Wait until he figures out the rest of the puzzle..."
Once again he stops. He opens the treatment of 'On Swift Wings' and scrolls to the very end. There is a scene involving two ponies that has been planned from the very beginning. It has been revised a dozen times. He revises it again. He changes it back. He sighs, saves, and closes the file. He'll just have to see where the characters are when the time comes. He returns to 'On Swift Wings.'
"Oh man, I can't wait until this character shows up. I mean, I've used him in other stories but never like this..."
The fingers on the keyboard slow. The flow of both stories has ceased for the time being. He ponders what to do until the urge to write them returns.
A smirk crosses his face as he recalls a message chain between himself and Grand_Moff_Pony. He peeks at his 'To Do' list. A new Word document is opened.
"Dear Red Shoes..."
