Happy Birthday, Quizzical! · 2:42am Feb 11th, 2017
Yesterday was Quiz's birthday. I assume she enjoyed it; I haven't seen her. She's in hiding from Pinkie (I wish her luck with that).
This marks five years Quiz has been stuck in season two. I do have a plan for that, I can get to season three in just two short stories - I just have to write them. What I don't think I can do is fix my time line, which I seem to have mucked up a bit. Wonderful and The Quality of Mercy can't happen in the same year, and Adventures In Cake Sitting probably happens during yet another year. So, do seasons one and two take three years?
I should be more relaxed about this. My timeline isn't any worse than the show's, after all. Has anyone else noticed that Friendship Is Magic averages one day of winter a season?
I am writing, really I am. I'm trying to finish a Hearts and Hooves Day story. Watch me get it in late, sigh. And no, I'm not shipping Quiz, this story isn't about Quizzical.
Cheers!
In Princess Twilight Sparkle we learned that seasons one through three took place within a single year. Which also means either some of the episodes are out of order (chronologically speaking) or else ponies have multiple winters.
Happy birthday, Quiz!
I'm sitting on a story I want to release on Valentine's myself, though it's not specifically Hearts N' Hooves. I wonder if the site will get a higher than normal number of submissions that day?
Happy birthday.
And don't worry about timelines or having to put out chapters fast or anything. Just make sure you enjoy yourself.
Happy birthday, Quiz!
Happy birthday Quiz. Hope you had a good time.
I hope Pinkie managed to get some cake to your bolt hole.

When that was revealed, it so greatly bothered me that - as I was watching through the older series at the time, I proceeded to do a day-count (from seasion through four, and someone back-worked season one for me) to see if it as even plausible (within as assumed 365 day year).
It is, though there is not a lot of room to spare (especially given the rarity (aha) of winter episodes, as least as far as snow in concerned.
Don't really have time to grab my number now, though if anyone is rabidly interested, I can probably find that at some point.
(Unlike Pokémon, which is just talking, to put it frankly, bollocks. Ash simply cannot be ten unless he is magically cursed. As they make such a point of each episode being a day (or more), the sheer number of episodes makes this impossilbe. (The defence of "but what if Pokémon has just longer years" is no help, because while that means while on year may only have just passed (discounting Christmas appeared to happen at least twice...), it also means that Ash has never BEEN ten, not by what ten actually means to humans, not in all the time we've seen him.)
