So I've been meandering back and forth pointlessly, trying to figure out what to write next. I think I finally have it, though.
It won't be a ponystory, but it'll be familiar characters. Think Cowlick and Rainbro in the Valk universe.
That's actually it.
Cowlick and "Reese." I've actually written a story with them before that's pretty crazily offensive because, you know, it's Cowlick. I've always wanted to expand on that, though: I mean, it's not exactly like Cowlick understands what Reese is actually going through, and Reese can't just. Magically explain it. Plus, you know. Human world, human rules, there is no magical solution.
It'll touch on a lot of sensitive topics and probably make a lot of people really mad. Which is, you know, what I do best. But I haven't written anything that's not "action action action" for a while and I'd like to show what I can do in a field that isn't people kicking each other in the face.
It's going to be a novella, I think. Relatively short because I don't want a hundred thousand words of drama. This won't be part of the main Valk series, so I'm going to put it up on FictionPress. Cowlick doesn't appear in the books until... Trickster, I think? Which is number three.
I talk like I'm ever going to actually chase publishing them all. I'm probably going to be dead before that happens.
It'll be great, though. Cowlick's awful. People will make wild, baseless accusations at me based upon the actions of fictional characters. It'll be great. You'll love it.
When you say relatively short...
I don't know what exactly that means, since most of your stories have +300K words. 
Although, I'm glad to hear that there's going to be a new story! Cowlick, huh? Cool. Tell us when it's out!
