So it's been (checks watch) about two weeks since I updated 'the Wicker Mare' and nine days until the launch of 'Grogar 2.' I'm hard at work, but things have been complicated.
My rambunctious dog knocked a glass of tea onto my laptop, and despite my best efforts she seems to be down for the count. Thankfully, I've learned my lesson and started saving stuff onto an external. Nothing of value was lost this time.
Here's where the cool part comes in.
My friend informed me of a device they have in their possession that will allow me to take the hard-drives from my previous laptops and extract the text files. Suddenly, I have access to stories and outlines that might have been lost.
There's stuff in there I never even told any of you about.
Already I've stumbled on my very first MLP Fanfic Outline, the bedrock on which all of this is built. Expect to see that as a Failed Fic very soon.
Most exciting is a short I banged out one night in the space of a few hours... the same night that particular laptop bit the dust.
Folks, that story is the first one I wrote that explored the idea of Rarity being Sweetie Belle's mother.
And it's a Christmas story.
I'm going to give it another look-see when I get the chance, maybe update it a little (Crescendo didn't exist when I wrote it.) and then maybe publish it as an AU sequel to 'Dear Sweetie Belle.'
This is all very exciting, but back to work.
Krampusnacht draws near.

Dear Sweetie Belle was the best [iirc]. Seeing a christmasy version from an earlier design would be amazing :D.
