"The Times, They are a Changeling"- Mini Review · 8:26pm Aug 20th, 2016
That was nice.
Potential Spoilers Ahead!
Oh, that was such a cute episode. Spike's episodes have both been really fantastic this season. And maybe we'll see that as well with "Dungeons and Discords" next week? We can only hope.
Anyways, I really did like this episode a lot. Thorax was a cute character and somehow I don't think that's going to be the last of him...
Also, man, the male roles in this season are great, too! They're becoming a lot more in-depth and we seem to be focusing on them a lot more than the previous seasons; they're becoming as cool as the females! It's really nice having a bit more of a balance.
I think that the moral was pretty original, especially for MLP. I feel it stood for a racism lesson of sorts, as well as a "don't judge others on how they look" sort of thing. I found that it was pretty well-executed but the ending was a little rushed.
I have to say that I enjoyed seeing Starlight and Sunburst again. I love them.
Also, I found Spike's singing pretty enjoyable as well. It's about time he got a song besides "The Failure Song," he's been with us since the beginning! The melody was nice and his singing was, too. Way to go, Cathy Wesluck!
Overall, this was a wonderful episode that I thoroughly enjoyed.
HEHEHEHE! DISCORD EPISODE IS NEXT WEEK!!!
