"Where the Apple Lies"- Mini Review · 3:12pm Oct 9th, 2016
Cute and fluffy; very nice.
So... yeah. I'll just say that I did enjoy that episode for it's cute, fluffy, slice-of-lifey plot. Sure, it wasn't action-packed or full of adventure, but it really developed Apple Jack and Big Mac, and I liked it a lot for that.
Seeing Apple Jack lie sure was... something. But it was a good sort of something. It really explains why she values honesty and truthfulness so much.
I loved Big Mac's character development, as well. Once, he was a huge chatterbox, talking on and on and never listening. In this episode, we see that the reason he stopped was because he vowed to listen more and talk less.
Seeing younger versions of many of the ponies was quite fun. Derpy (seen in the hospital... getting some sort of eye surgery?) looks the same age, though, which I thought to be strange. I always thought she was the same age as the Mane 6.
However, I'm still wondering about AJ's parents. Where are they? Who are/ were they? (WE NEED TO KNOW, AHHH)
I don't really have much more to say, honestly. This was a cute episode with great character development. This second half of Season 6 has actually been rather good!
And, just an FYI: I did see the finale episodes, but I won't be doing a review of them until they are released in the US.
