"Every Little Thing She Does" and "P.P.O.V"- Mini Reveiws · 4:08pm Oct 2nd, 2016
Two highly entertaining episodes!
(I absolutely love the facial expressions the ponies are making this season. )
Last week I was quite busy, so I decided to put my "Every Little Thing She Does" and "P.P.O.V" reviews together.
So yes, I consider both of these episodes absolutely wonderful.
"Every Little Thing She Does"
Ooh! It was about time to get another Starlight Glimmer episode. I think that this episode portrayed her and the Mane 6 in a pretty great way. "Every Little Thing She Does" was like Starlight's equivalent to "Lesson Zero." Sure, friendship is going to be hard, but you can't force it. You can't force your friends to do anything, because friendship relies on people (or ponies, in this case) working together and being uniquely them.
I loved how she sort of relapsed into brainwashing ponies. Starlight, of course, isn't going to be perfect right away. Like Discord, she's still learning about friendship, and sometimes she is going to make mistakes. I liked seeing her result to using her magic for "evil" (of sorts) once again, because of course, friendship is still hard for her.
Also, the comedy in this episode was great. I absolutely loved to see the Mane 6 (sans Twilight) brainwashed. Each one of them was absolutely ridiculous in their own way, but I think I have to go with Apple Jack as my favorite brainwashed pony. All of those quotes...
"P.P.O.V. (Pony Point of View)"
This was another fantastically funny episode! I felt like the plot was believable (to an extent, of course. This is MLP we're talking about) because friends do get in arguments. It's ridiculous to see the Mane 6 never fight, because real friends fight. Of course, real friends also move on from arguments and learn to accept each other. I liked how this episode showed both of these things.
The characters were represented extremely well. Twilight was both nerdy and sensible throughout the episode. AJ is stubborn, so of course she was going to say that her view was the right one. She exaggerated both Pinkie and Rarity's personalities to make her seem like the only sane one. I loved how she exaggerated them, too; Rarity's posh extremism and overuse of the word "darling" was hilarious, and so were Pinkie Pie's mindless expressions and party pony antics. When Pinkie told her side, I loved how she made the other two ponies complete "party poopers" and her exaggeration of Rarity's outfit and preparations were great. Lastly, Rarity was portrayed well, too. She was overly dramatic in her telling, just how she should be. Also, how she thought of Apple Jack was absolutely hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing when AJ suddenly turned into a pirate; all of those expressions were great, too.
Overall, these were two great episodes. I can't wait for next week's; the synopsis of "Where the Apple Lies" sounds really[/] intriguing.
