August AMA and General Life Updates · 10:33pm Aug 2nd, 2016
A real AMA this time (again, sorry about last month's debacle)
Just a follow-up on that, treatment is still going well, things are fine
everything is fine
Been working on some stories, including updates to several that have been laid aside to rot for years on end. Hopefully I can get those out so I can upgrade myself from being a disappointing wreck.
Other life updates: the musical production of "Jekyll and Hyde" that I've been a part of this entire summer is opening later this week, so my already reduced time upon the site will be lowered to almost nothing. Trying to put out some work to make up for the lull in my production that has been dogging me for the past two years or so.
College starts for me in a little under two weeks, going to the University of San Fransisco to study history and eduction.
But yes
Please
Ask me anything
Also this makes one year of doing monthly AMA's
How long do you think it'll be until people run out of things to ask you?
Also, who are you going to play in the musical?
Glad to know you're fine.
Good to know you're doing okay.
I can't think of any questions right now, but I'll be sure to come back if I do. Still, it's nice to hear all is well.
4128443 I dunno, we've gone a year so far but the general amount of comments on an AMA blog are getting lower and lower
as are on my blogs in general
people just stop giving a fuck after a while
No one special, I don't have any lines. I'm just an ensemble member who sings in the numbers that are required for full ensemble members, and I move a lot of the set pieces around.
4128455 gotcha
Does going to the University of San Francisco mean there's a chance that you can hitch a ride with someone from San Francisco to Pacific PonyCon in January?
Also, xjuggernaughtx lives about 30 minutes from San Fran. You should visit him sometime. His wife makes the best chili I've ever had.
4128483 depends on what's going on in february, but if i can get the required time off i'll hit you up
If you could choose between spending a week as a self-aware pineapple or have a sock glued to your face for four days which would you pick?
4128491 The latter sounds much less potentially fatal
4128487 "hey bro it's me"
"the guy you talked to for about ten minutes at babs2015"
"imma come over tell your wife to start that chili"
4128491 i dunno i feel like i already live life as a self-aware pineapple
horribly acidic and in constant existential pain
i guess i'd choose the sock just to liven things up
4128554 You have a very unique philosophy on pineapples. I like it.
What's your biggest non-educational-related goal for college?
You do know we all think you're pretty great, right?
4128591 i dunno
be in a constant band i guess
4128676 th-thanks
4128707 What will your band name be? I'll make the suggestion of "Edgelord."
4128775 nah, I have a few musical projects
the one i want to make with a big band is "Help! Jump!" and the one I want to make with one or possibly two other people is called "Numb To Nothing", which exists as a solo project atm
other projects I am involved with are Xenophobe, no outlet., and Moonbeams
Do you consider yourself a straightfag or a flamboyantfag?
Regidar is it possible you could ever ACTUALLY love me, like in real life
You just seem like my type
4129042 straightfag, i'm not very flamboyant
4129242 depends
I guess we'd have to hang out more
Congratulations on your AMA resolve, my lovely! The only things I've ever been able to stick out for more than a few weeks are drugs, cigarettes, and booze. Mostly shiraz and ... well, drugs are drugs.
I try to be a part of these AMA things of yours, but I honestly haven't a clue what to ask you. I er... well, I have questions, but they're decidedly of two flavours - vapid stupid or deep philosophical. I wish I could mix the two,
So first, a joke entitled, "A Universal Philosophical Refutation", edited for ponies:
I guess I'll go with sort-of-serious. What's your adopted personal philosophy, and what would you change in said philosophy if you could?
If you ever want to hang out and happen to be in Florida for whatever reason, send me a pm, I know of a place with a DAMN good milkshake.
4132664
About time someone made that into pony for relevance on a talking horse horse site.
4132664 that's a really tough question
I'm so scattered and lost that I can't say I have a solid philosophy
some days I could prattle on about everything because it all means something to me and the next day all I could do is give you a morose expression and wish I were gone
I suppose my philosophy currently is that everyone has to suffer because it makes life more meaningful
but if life's not beautiful without any pain
I would rather never even ever see beauty again
There is so much that weighs on me even today that I shudder to think what the rest of my life will be like
Because this is just the beginning and it's almost too much for me to carry
"I think that what people who have committed crimes need is not punishment, but rather the knowledge of the pain of being forgiven." - Inio Asano
4132909 i don't know when i'll be in florida next but i'll be sure to hit you up
Favorite flavor of milkshake?
What dick size is your preferred?
Have you watched American Psycho? Or read it?
4135544 strawberry
4135581 i dunno, average
Both, it's one of my favorites art pieces of all time.
4135710 Mary Harron's adaption is superb.
The themes in that book are damaging. It's fucking amazing.
This place grows their own strawberries, you'll love it
4136281 haha, sweet
Do you play Pokemon go?
4140567 yes
4134931
I was told at a young age by a very talented professional musician that he was "diagnosed with severe depression, but without it I would have never striven so resolutely to find what beauty is". I have somewhat followed that philosophy DESPITE knowing I should probably seek help, but... well, I'm still here.
Art is suffering, maybe? Beauty is success and complacency? I don't know exactly what the truth is, but... well, I like to find the truth in things. I like answers. I like solving puzzles and I adore being creative/sad.
Thank you for your honest answer. Although likely unintended, it was lovely, and it hurt me.
(Editor's note: the musician never used the words "striven" or "resolutely" - he was just a drunken friend of my parents. Still, it was a message I always carried!)
