A little self conscious, I suppose. Hopefully putting these out will help with that.

It appears I'm being watched · 4:39am Sep 10th, 2012

So far, the neatest feature on Fimfiction (for me, at least) is being able to see how people found your story. Click on Stats and you'll find anything that linked to it. Due to internet complexities I won't pretend to understand, you'll usually see several links to arcane chat urls, hitherto unheard of image boards, miscellaneous google searches and, most worryingly, foreign porn sites. But the referrals box has more use than making you tilt your head and question the web of connections formed from the terrifying spinnerets of the internet. I've only recently discovered that it can show you why your story has suddenly become more viewed than when it was first released! It seems Stryke from RPGnet is in the habit of giving his reviews to certain stories, and Changelings Don't Get Cutie Marks was in a recent batch of quickies.

Okay, maybe the visualization is a slight bit overdramatic. But still, the explosion of readers knocked me for a bit of a loop. I've gotten more favourites on that story than I've yet seen. And that's a pretty damn warm and fuzzy feeling.

I've also gotten more watchers at once than ever before! Grymdai, thank you for watching! Schpeelah, good luck on your writing! Archnos, glad to have your eyes! Thegodhand, welcome back! To writing your story, I mean. Thanks, Nemryn! Though I've got to say I've always preferred just 'Corona' to Solar Nova. Thanks for stalking, Hachibi! iloveportalzor... that Mr. Beanber picture scares the hell out of me. And finally thanks for watching, WickedSigma!

I'm not the fastest writer out there, but I guarantee that I'm going to keep plopping out stories as long as I am able. In fact, I was thinking of one coming up very soon. Fingers crossed, I might have one done tomorrow. Hopefully.

Now it's time for a bit of a confession. I took a challenge to rhyme for the whole week, a challenge I broke to make this post. In an attempt to atone for my crime, the following is a summary done completely in rhyme:

I logged in not long ago to a welcome surprise:
my number of readers was on the rise!
Not only was the number more
soon I'd awake to another encore.
It seemed I'd recently got a review
that brought in a great many readers (like you!)
Stryke from RPGnet had brought
more new readers than I could have thought!
Now I'd like to express my recognition
to Grymdai, Schpeelah, Thegodhand, nemryn
Archnos, Hachibi, iloveportalz0r
Everyone who favourited and more!
Without every one of you this hobby would drag.
Motivation would fade and creativity lag.
You all keep me writing and I'm happy to see
That you took the time to read stories by me!

Congratulations are in order, I suppose.

It was a good read, and deserves all the popularity it gets.

You... You're welcome? I mean... Yeah. *blush* eep
