Warning: In the offhand chance some think it's a good idea, there will be spoiler blockers on the main spoilers of what i'm about to say.
Okay, so, i was going to write the next chapter of It's A Screwed Up Life with Screwy going to the G1 world where she meets up with the Megan, Danny and Molly by several of the Baby Ponies finding her lazing around not too far from Paradise Estate. After the baby ponies that found her bring her over and introductions are made, Danny talks about how annoying it is that another human is now in Ponyland, yet it's another girl. this ends in an argument between danny and screwball with Molly adding her two cents in on screwball's side, danny ends up saying how boys are better than girls so, to teach him a lesson, Screwball turns him into a girl with the condition that the now Daniela will only turn back into a boy once she learns to respect girls and see boys and girls as equals.
At the same time, Hidia and her daughters are watching the events through their coldren and want to get back at the ponies, but are worried after seeing screwballs' clear magical abilities that she would be able to stop them with no problem. So, Hidia uses a spell that manages to bring Tirek back from oblivion because they think he'll be able to even the playing field and help them. However, their plan backfires when Tirke, seeing Hidia and her daughters are worthless are magic users and no longer being able to rely on his Rainbow of Darkness, takes their magic like G4 Tirek did to the ponies of Equestria and intends to use Hidia's home as the point from which he'll take over Ponyland.
He'd first use magic to create those beasts from Escape from Midnight Castle to kidnap the baby ponies, thus forcing the other ponies, Megan, Daniela, Molly and Screwball to go and save them, his plan to get revenge on Megan, since she's the one who released the Rainbow of Light that defeated him.
However, as you expect, he doesn't even consider Screwball's abilities as worth worrying about due to not knowing she is a being of chaos. it ends in a big battle (maybe power rangers style) bewteen Tirek and Screwball, with Screwball pretending to be beaten, only to then use her magic to take Tirek's new magic away, shrink him down to the size of the baby ponies and i'm not sure what else they'd do with him. Somewhere in there Daniela would learn her lesson and change back into Danny, screwball hangs around for a bit, they say their goodbyes and screwy goes back to Equestria, jumps back in time to when cadance and shining armour are trying to get into the crystal empire and holds sombra off so that they can.
this was my plan until, trying to find some info on the first episode of the full series of g1, i learned that Hidia and her daughters are even bigger idiots than they were in the movie, thus they wouldn't have the brain power to even THINK of bringing back tirek and that to have such an idea would be giving them too much credit.
on top of that, unlike with Friendship is Magic, where it's easy to remember details about characters, even if they only appear in one episode and maybe even only for a minute or two, yet still remember them and anything you can't you can look up online, the same cannot be said for any of the g1 ponies. most i'd be able to remember are some of the ponies and even then i'd have to keep going back to the episodes/movie/specials to remember them as i write, which would get so horribly tedious i'd just lose all drive to write further.
Not to mention it's hard keeping their personalities straight, especially with the baby ponies and i can only remember a handful of their names thanks to the ghost of paradise estate episodes, which are one of the few i have due to having gotten the dvd for, like, a dollar at a school gala day.
as such, my g1 crossover chapter will not happen. i might still crossover with g2 or the better part of g3 (g3.5 shall NEVER happen!) as those kinda stuck with me a bit more, but g1 is just not possible. i am nowhere near that good of a writer that i could do it justice.
my apologies for all those who's hopes i got up with the hints in another blog. i honestly thought i could do that, but it is not an option, no matter how much i wanted to do it
That poor boy, he's never going to change back. Everyone knows even the weakest male is physically more powerful than most females in the same weight class. Not necessarily more capable or intelligent, but still. The males that survive to adulthood are phenomenal in their own right and women would still view them with contempt if they knew how many times they'd been rejected socially prior to their first encounter.

Ooh...now that's very interesting. I'm glad to see someone else who has interest in G1-G3!
(few and far between, it seems :c) If you really wanted to write that, I could certainly try helping as far as G1 knowledge...I'm not the best expert on it, but I am familar with it as I've gone through all the episodes and specials before, but sadly there aren't any good centralised websites to get information from (sometimes I've wondered if I should create a wiki to fill in this niche, but I would lose motivation quickly and I doubt there would be many others who would want to help me maintain it :c).
However...let me see... I know a website that has G1-G3 episodes (excluding a few G3 'webisodes' which I used to have on my old, now dead, hard drive that I downloaded directly from their website, but I found them all again via someone's Youtube page), which should be helpful to you if you need all the G1 episodes. There are also G4 episodes and comics, as well as other related material there...but I'm a little scared that I'm delving into illicit territory if I link that to you...so I'll send a PM just to be safe (if you don't mind).
G1 actually even has a semi-separate continuity in the old comic books, but sadly my stash of them was also on my dead hard drive, and while it's not impossible to find them all again (heckyeahponyscans on tumblr has 95% of them), it's a crazy amount of effort to organize them all by issue and comic series again, with how they were spread out and how there are 200+ issues with each having several pages in them. I had a few G2 and G3 comics as well, but I really wish in hindsight I had bought those French G2 comics as they're so rare...
Speaking of G2, do you mean the G2 toy line/merchandise that started in 1997? I feel rude asking...was just curious because there's a common misconception that MLP Tales (1992) is G2 since it's the second animated series between the original G1 and G3...sadly, G2 never got its own animated series and comics are hard to find, so my main source of G2 information is what few comics I've seen (and even if you add up all the English, French, German, Dutch, etc. ones in existence you probably only get about 40-50 issues) and the MLP: Friendship Gardens game, and the rest from my imagination (being a G2 pony myself).

As another note, I think the DVD episodes/movies have a few cuts (the older VHS release did too), namely in Rescue at Midnight Castle, Escape from Katrina, and The Magic Coins and The Glass Princess, but it was just a few songs that were cut, for better or worse.

Earth ponies have plenty of magic. It's just a little more subtle.
As for the magi-Tech, about half of my body is made of it (don't fry a control board. It doesn't end well).
And if most folks can handle Pinkie Pie, they can most certainly deal with anything anypony else can come out with!

Aside from Hidia being too stupid the other issues you have a certainly perfectly legitimate. I wouldn't want anyone to suffer through some of the earlier g1 stuff again or for the first time. Its all bad haha. Just my opinion, keep that in mind folks. 
For some reason I always imagined Hidia had a spell book. Maybe she does but I just can't remember... I feel like that's how they got the recipe to make the Smooze. From that point it wouldn't be to difficult to assume that a spell was in the book to summon a being to that plane of existence. Or even if Hidia had found some form of lore in regards to summoning Tirek and being an absolute boob, *triggered* lol, summoned him to deal with those pesky little pony folk.
I feel an arc could be dedicated to this little pursuit and would make for an interesting inevitable meeting with Tirek at a later stage.
But I fully understand where you are coming from.

There is this website though: Dream Valley It should have a fair amount of information, but perhaps not everything you're looking for...I'll keep looking though... I know I had once browsed through several (mostly older) websites pertaining to G1-G3 but I don't have my full internet history anymore (the rest is on one of my dead hard drives) so I can't find them unless I backtrack on my own or unless I already had them bookmarked (most I didn't).
4125878 Just out of curiosity, I went to that point in the movie and found where the recipe for the Smooze is. It's locked in a safe, inside which is an urn (the very one that the ingredients are gathered in and dumped in the volcano with) containing a long rolled-up scroll listing all the ingredients. I suppose it wouldn't be too much of a stretch of the imagination to say that the scroll was probably a transcription from a spellbook for convenience, although the said spellbook may have been destroyed/no longer exist...err...pretend I didn't say that. >.<
