Fluttershy knows it is her honor, her destiny, to have been born into the Lunar Guard. She knows it with all her heart. But sometimes, when she can get away from her drills and be alone with her animals, she is beset by doubt. Sometimes, as she straps on her armor and raises her spear, she wonders why there is so much disharmony in the world.
Sometimes she feels like Equestria is missing a little kindness.
It's been something in the works for a while, and something I plan on finishing before Asylum.
Why? Because my long delay from writing, I feel, made my both rusty and allowed me to really process the last third of Asylum's story in my head, to work out some of the flaws I'd noticed and help me to work on my craft.
Consider this the final polish for Asylum, something to help ensure it's as finely made as possible.
Also, the idea of FLUTTERSHY AS A BAT PONY SOLDIER IS TOO ADORABLE FOR WORDS! Just look at the cover art!
