Okay, so the night before last i was wondering how i'd continue Call of a Raven (will try to get another chapter of that done in the next couple weeks, but please don't hold me to that), when i started thinking about who Raven will interact with certain ponies, before one she shares a lot in common with came (and no, i am NOT referring to Twilight Sparkle simply because they share the same voice actor) to mind and my brain blank as i realize the very eerie similarities between the two.
Who am i speaking of you may ask? Well, i realized the simialrties were between these two:

Tell me you don't see how eerily alike these two are. they both have purple hair, they both speak in a montone, they both have short hair, they both have grey skin/fur and they both wear blue.
the only thing missing (aside from the fact that one was the child of a demon and the other is a grey pony from a family of rock farmers in equestria), is if Tara Strong had voiced Maud too.
Now that i've realized it, i realize this was such a WASTED shoutout opportunity to Teen Titans fans. I won't lie when i say i enjoy Ingrid Nilson's Maud voice, but had they given Tara the role, it would've been hilarious for all Teen Titan fans who watch the MLP.
Anyway, just wanted to get that off my chest and let others suddenly realize this if they hadn't already and i will leave them to recover from their minds being blown now and get back to updating a fic overdue for an update
Believe me, you are not the only one to have noticed, this thought came to me the other day.
Maud Pie is still better, and not just because we are on a pony site... I just didn't like Raven's character much.
I don't know. I both like the idea of an homage and dislike the idea of fewer talented people getting jobs because only a handful of actors are the 'go-to' names based more on popularity and reliability than whether they are the right fit for the character... Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the writers and directors have voices in mind when they create the characters. But, I feel if the story is genuinely good and the actors know what they're doing it wouldn't matter who the celebrity or civilian behind the voice really is.
Also, I don't think raven's hair is really purple... then again I see navy blue as a shade of green so there is that shift in distinction.

4049005 I was refereeing to the older one, her design was alright, just didn't like the character much. But, I also didn't like the show very much and only saw about half the episodes.
I've never seen that that Teen Titans Go version, only a few short clips and pictures... not a fan of that art style, but don't know how the character is in that one.

I honestly thought Teen Titans Go was the same series. I was busy with college and couldn't find the time to be a regular watcher. I liked Tera, and then she was a villain all of a sudden, then turned to stone. I thought Red X was Robin, and then he was a separate character.... then when I finally had the time to watch the show the characters became bobble headed hedonists (if not complete idiots) and I completely lost interest...
