Maybe I'll write ponies again. It's only been five years, eh?

    Hi there...

    Hey everyone!
I've been incredibly absent here and I'm sorry about that. I just haven't been very motivated to write anything new/ continue with These Dreams of Mine. Maybe sometime soon I'll be motivated again and write some new stories, but until then, thanks for being so supportive and lovely!

A Little Bit of an Update

    So... hey there :twilightblush:

I know I haven't been very active lately, and I'm sorry about that. The last episode review that I did was for "Where the Apple Lies" and I haven't written anything new since August. August was a long time ago.

"Where the Apple Lies"- Mini Review

    Cute and fluffy; very nice.

So... yeah. I'll just say that I did enjoy that episode for it's cute, fluffy, slice-of-lifey plot. Sure, it wasn't action-packed or full of adventure, but it really developed Apple Jack and Big Mac, and I liked it a lot for that.

"Every Little Thing She Does" and "P.P.O.V"- Mini Reveiws

    Two highly entertaining episodes!

(I absolutely love the facial expressions the ponies are making this season. :rainbowlaugh:)

Last week I was quite busy, so I decided to put my "Every Little Thing She Does" and "P.P.O.V" reviews together.

"Newbie Dash"- Mini Review · 12:58am May 8th, 2016

Well that was a meh episode.

Potential Spoilers Ahead :raritywink:

I really disliked this episode, actually.

Okay, first off, the episode's start was pretty awful. Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash are talking about this Wonderbolt performance, and Rainbow mentions something like "Yeah, thanks for coming, but I won't be flying." Then, it just so happens that Spitfire knows exactly where Rainbow Dash is, and is just like "Oh yeah, you're a Wonderbolt now."

Come on! How much more convenient and uninteresting is that? I figured that when RD was to become a Wonderbolt, she'd perform some utterly amazing trick, and/or save somepony; kind of like "Sonic Rainboom."

Nope, because this one random Wonderbolt we've never heard of retired, Rainbow is one now. Okay then.

And after that, since when have the Wonderbolts such been such jerks?

The only remotely funny part of the episode was when she was impersonating the rest of the Mane 6. I found it pretty amazing that Ashleigh Ball could do a southern accent that sounded like Rainbow attempting one when she was being like Apple Jack. Even though this was funny, it still made almost no sense in the plot. And, they forgot to make Rainbow's bangs look like Twilight's when she was being like her. We've seen her do this before, so I'm not really sure why they didn't do this; maybe, they just plain forgot. Who knows.

The ending to the episode was pretty much as bad as the beginning. Rainbow messes up the Wonderbolt's show big-time, and then she mentions that it's good to fit in sometimes? And we've never heard Soarin' be called 'Clipper' or whoever else being called whatever. That plot point was really quite pathetic and out-of-the-blue.

Overall, this episode was just pretty terrible. These new writers on the MLP staff seem to mess up their first episode every time. Season 6 has been quite the let-down; "The Crystalling," "Gift of the Maud Pie," and this episode, "Newbie Dash," have just not been very good. Let's hope that that next week's episode will be okay; I've heard that its going to be Hearth's Warming AGAIN (How in the world did that happen?), but with Starlight Glimmer. That could be a good or really bad episode, too. Let's pray that it's good.

And I'm still waiting for Discord.

I've attached my work-in-progress story with this blog post. It's about the Wonderbolts, actually. Maybe you'll think it's better than this episode? :rainbowlaugh:
I've tried to portray the Wonderbolts the right way.
