So far, this is a great episode. I love CMC episodes personally, because of the constant coming of age theme, and this one is especially powerful. To me at least.

A little goof: Apple Bloom had a hard time singing in key when Sweetie Belle showed her the notes yet we see her sing a full out song.

Not many notes besides to say awwww what an adorable episode. Exactly what they needed in their new post-Cutie Mark role, and now every single CMC episode doesn't have to involve all three of them.
Season 6 is going strong! Lets keep it up! Applebloom's song was fantastic! This episode gives the CMC their new purpose and handles a lot of issues people felt they were going to have PERFECTLY! So now each CMC member could get their own episodes with different ponies both old and new! We could possibly see the return of Bab's seed...OH! Or they could help Starlight; after all we have NO CLUE what her cutie mark means or what her special talent is and that'd be a great friendship lesson for Starlight as well!...Calling it right now that's gonna be an episode!!

Okay, setting aside my preconceptions, that was a cute little story that actually addressed almost like a list all of the objections to the Crusaders' destiny raised in the aftermath of Crusaders of the Lost Mark. Dave Polesky did a good point in showing how these interests are actually dividing influences between the Crusaders and that they can only be really happy together if they learn to subsume those skills into their broader talents for helping other ponies.
Now... tell me this, Apple Bloom. Did you find dancing fun because it was fun... or was it fun because it involved doing stuff with Tender Taps?
Yes, I'm shipping them; I was shipping them from the moment we saw him hiding in the corner. I also suspect that, the minute Sweetie Belle gets a hint of this, she'll be a worse Yenta than Rarity ever was!
On a totally different note, as they played the intro to Apple Bloom's song, was I the only one who thought they were going to do a cover of What More is Out There? from Friendship Games?
So, overall, once I clear my mind and look at it objectively, this is a solid 7.5/10 for me.
