I got up to go to work this morning and finish my latest chapter, and I saw another city burning. It seems all too often we see this in the news, but it's never easy to just brush off as 'another' attack for me.
I know Fimfiction isn't the place for reality, or at least, I've never heard of anyone else writing about politics or new in their blogs. Regardless, I finished a long comic on my blog which I'll put below. It summarizes parts of my thoughts, although I don't think I did it well enough.
In any case, if anyone here is in Brussels or has friends or relatives there, I hope you're safe. Equally, I hope you can give aid where possible and remember to blame only those people who are responsible, not just those cast under the same brush. Stay well,

Brussels will never be alone. "Gott mit uns", mein freund.
This is wonderfully done. I remember I first heard about it when I walked into my french class and my teacher told us about it. The first thing I though was 'Why the hell aren't people trying to stop this? Not just outlaw everyone who looks like the people who are doing this, but attack at the source?" The next was "wait, there were reports of this from last night? I listened to the radio this morning and they didn't say anything! I just heard them babble on about football for half an hour!"
The day when people find other people who throw a ball on a field more important than people dying or losing loved ones or their homes, everything they have, is a sad, sad day for the word. And that day arrived long ago. Hopefully people can realize how fucked up our world is before we kill it and everything upon it.
