Paul Asaran – The Gentle Nights
Romantic Drama

That cover art sure is gorgeous.

The short version is this:

The Gentle Nights is a fantastic fic, with one of the best paced romances you can find on this site, great prose, and one of the best characterized Octavia's I could point out – on par with some of my favourites using the character, like Exit Through Canterlot or Octavia Takes the Bus. It isn't perfect, it has some weird issues, and it often makes me hate the characters in a way that I am sure was unintended, but I can't really fault a fic for making me feel so strongly about it.
