    Happy New Years

    2023 was way too long.

My goal this year is to find a new job. Try and write more than one new chapter of Feather Steel and to hopefully publish this new story of mine which popped into my head and won't leave. Already written 20,000 words. :twilightsheepish:

As for my other unfinished works, we'll see. :facehoof:

    The Curse is Broken

So, yeah, finally a new chapter is here.

What can I say other than time goes by fast and you never realize how much you lose until it's lost. Five years :fluttershysad:

The Difficulty of Continuing a Story

Why is it so difficult to do this sometimes? I feel like it's much, much easier to come up with a new story and write it out. But Celestia help you if you stop and want to continue later. :facehoof:

    A Rushed Job

I'm Back from TrotCon which was fun, though I feel they planned poorly for how large the venue was vs how many people were there (last time it was in a smaller hotel and felt cozy).

CMC: Training is Magic chapter... almost ready. · 8:13pm Jan 26th, 2016

So it was just finished by my editor, Jay, but I've decided to look over my chapters more thoroughly from now on. I'm getting a bit self conscious that I'm doing just a bit more telling than showing, and most authors tend to look over their stuff anyway; admittedly this is something I've been failing at. I often write something and then maybe read through once (maybe) and call it a day. Granted, I still think about the story and fixes and all of that jazz, but I don't stop to consider if what I've written is any good or not; I'm merely too trapped in my writing daze and feeling good while I write it. There's a difference between what is quality and what you feel while you write. If that makes sense?

We all have been there

Yea, I know the feeling.

3714697 Editing is slow. :rainbowlaugh:

Well the thing is, if you are in that writing daze, and you are feeling what you're writing, then chances are it's good already. Or, more accurately, it's a good raw product. Don't stop writing when you're in that daze, just go back and fine tune it later. The second pass is really when you should be asking yourself if this drivel is any good.

3714750 Of course it's good, it's ponies! :pinkiegasp:
