    Good morning, Fimfiction.

Two things, right off the bat:

I am back on a limited basis, to be terminated as and when I feel like it.

    I'm a girl now.

How Hard it is to Turn the Page: Dealing with Grief & Writing What You Know

I didn't really realize what I was writing about when I wrote In the Dark of the Wood. I wanted to write something before the year was officially over, and for some reason I had an Applejack itch. I started looking through the impressive gallery of NCMares, an artist who I knew was A) one of my favorites and B) did a lot of Applejack, knowing I'd hit my inspiration when I saw it. I hit on

    400 Followers: A Lot's Changed

About a year ago, I wrote the blog post celebrating 300 followers. In it, I expressed uncertainty about the state of the future, and said I felt good about that uncertainty.

Now, here we are. A year's passed. The world didn't end. I've started university.

And, oh yeah. I fell in love.

Tangentially Related to the Addition of Warning Tags, some words on why such tags are lacking.

This Isn't War is not a story about suicide, you brainless, cynical wastrels.

What We Write About When We Write About War

I've never really looked at my own body of work and tried to suss out a general theme. As far as I know, I don't really have an identity as far as what I write, at best having one for how I write. I don't know that you could sum my work on Fimfiction up in one sentence, the way you could say that Majin Syeekoh writes irreverent comedy with intermittent navel-gazing, or that Carapace and friends

So, I've Got This Idea... · 2:39am Jan 25th, 2016

Alright, let's set the stage.

Hearts and Hooves Day, known to the majority of the human world as Valentine's Day, is looming on the horizon.

In addition to the plethora of broken hearts, drunken single people, and paper hearts, there will in all probability be many shipfics put out on that day.

Now, imagine that you're a fanfic author. You want to stand out from the crowd, at least enough that people will actually read your shit instead of just glossing over it. Unconventional ships are probably the way to go, yeah?

But the random shipping generators just aren't doing it for you. They're either too out there, or too ordinary. You've got no idea what to do.

Then you remember that there's this certain card game that was created by a bunch of bronies a while back. A card game all about shipping, and all the wonderful wacky cliches that it gets wrapped up in. A card game that has its entire inventory available for free download.

So, obviously, you spend your entire weekend slowly dissecting PDF's into individual images, numbering these images arbitrarily, and testing a few random number generators. By the end of it, you're so tired that you honestly can't tell if this is a brilliant idea or the dumbest idea in the history of forever.

Then you decide to tell all your followers about it, in the hopes that they will either dissuade you from your madness or wholeheartedly support you. By this point, you honestly can't tell which scenario you prefer.

I will never understand why people need drugs or alcohol. I get high just thinking about this, and I feel drunk every time I contemplate actually doing this.

This sounds like something that could be awesome or go horribly wrong, or possibly could go awesomely wrong. ^-^ I support this. *hands you Muffin of Support*

I think the reason people do drugs and alcohol is because they're allergic to muffins, and have to go to other places for happiness.

Lemme know if there's anything I can do to help ^-^ even if it's just to bounce ideas off me~

Sounds like a great idea, but if all else fails, write Daballeron. You can never go wring with Daballeron.

3737553 Yeah, turns out this was actually a stupid idea that I've abandoned, but I haven't done anything blog-worthy in a while.
