I didn't really realize what I was writing about when I wrote In the Dark of the Wood. I wanted to write something before the year was officially over, and for some reason I had an Applejack itch. About a year ago, I wrote the blog post celebrating 300 followers. In it, I expressed uncertainty about the state of the future, and said I felt good about that uncertainty.
Now, here we are. A year's passed. The world didn't end. I've started university.
And, oh yeah. I fell in love.
I've never really looked at my own body of work and tried to suss out a general theme. As far as I know, I don't really have an identity as far as what I write, at best having one for how I write. I don't know that you could sum my work on Fimfiction up in one sentence, the way you could say that Majin Syeekoh writes irreverent comedy with intermittent navel-gazing, or that Carapace and friends

I don't know if they're warranted. I have a lot of very legitimate issues with this fandom and the people in it, but I also have fun ideas and wanted to try out playing in this space again.
The feature box remains one of the worst concepts invented, especially with mature stories set to viewable.

I realy wish I could say otherwise but we’ve lost a lot of good folks to the toxicity. I stay for the good ones, the ones that make my world better.
I hope you can find those precious few who can help reignite what brought you to the fandom in the first place.

Don't really need to. Part of why I left was because too much of my identity was tied to this fandom. Now that I've matured and come into my own as a distinct entity, I'm able to just randomly write for this place and not give a shit if people click the buttons.
