Parallel Universes for Dummies is now up.
It got three downvotes within half an hour of going live.
I'd say I'm disappointed, but really, I'm more impressed. There are at least three users who are constantly searching for new Flash Sentry stories in order to express their displeasure at his continued existence. These people aren't just determined in their hatred, they are devout.
I suppose it's possible some or even all of them actually read and disliked the story, but in the absence of comments, I'm sticking with my current hypothesis.
Only three? That's amazing. If you write a story with the Flash Sentry tag, it's good for at least five insto-down votes, unless its title is something like "Twilight Sparkle Shoves Flash Sentry Through Non Shatterproof Glass Window."
Just three downvotes on a new Flash story is astounding. The main reason Persona EG never got featured is because it was BOMBED by a combination of FLash-haters and me-haters.
Reading it as soon as I take care of a thing.
Flash is well known for causing people to downvote on sight. I shall read, judge carefully, and then vote as my conscience tells me, just to show how it should be done.
Flash Sentry = the new TCB, I guess.
I gave you an upvote and saw it transition from "not visible" to "10:3." I liked that story a lot, because it focused on the motivations and experiences of a character who was used purely for humor value in the actual movie, and you presented him quite believably -- you remembered that he was really nice, but still made him seem like a plausible young man rather than a plaster saint. I also really liked the Lyra and Bon-Bon characterizations.
We need to get Parallel featured, partly because the story is good, and partially just because I want to see a Flash Sentry story hit the box.
Also, those downvoters won't be devout until they manage to downvote the story before it goes live.
Love the chapter title. Flash Gordon/Sentry associations, we need more of them.
Maybe if you changed the title to, "Flash Sentry is a Schmuck," which is a concise summation of the content, you could flip those neighs into yays.

I've tried to redirect people's hatred towards a more deserving target, but it hasn't really caught on. Oh, sure, cool people like 3666539 are on board, but they're the exceptions.
