Stories Worth Checking Out #1
This is a section of my blog where I showcase fan fictions and other writing pieces that are worth checking out.
Here are a few really great ones that have caught my attention.

About: No pony could have prepared for the adventure or horror Cerberus would bring to Equestria. A single pound is added to the scale of love and tolerance in Ponyville, and everything changes.
About: The ancient warrior kingdom of Avia, so called because the warriors have fine birds of prey trained to fight, has crowned a new queen. She is a young warrior named Falcona, skilled in battle and skilled with the wild birds. But she has no idea what is in store for her reign. Evil is awakening, danger is drawing near. And Avia will need all the help it can get just to survive.
About: This story is a sequel to Kingdom of Avia.
Legend says that in the center of the Eighth Sea lies a vast treasure, and the only thing that can defeat the evil in the realm. That was what the old sailor said when she told the young warriors her story. Now the young warriors are going on the journey of their lives, the safety of the realm dependent on their success. For the Lord of Evil has awakened, and his lesser demons have grown too powerful to stop. All magic that would normally end this madness has been corrupted. And it's up to a ragtag band of travelers to find their way to the treacherous Eighth Sea and the Heart of the World to stop this senseless war.
About: Storm is a thief and bounty hunter. The Gala is full of rich ponies with fancy jewels. Discord is the Chaos Demon and a carnivore. He's looking for easy prey. There is no way this will end well.
This is part of the AviaVerse universe and takes place early in Kingdom of Avia, between the chapters "Trouble's Waking" and "Alliances". I highly recommend you read Kingdom of Avia first, or at least the first few chapters, to understand more about the characters and situations in here.
About: A series of one-shots involving various AviaVerse characters and the poor psychiatrist that has the misfortune of talking to them when they are in the office. Hopefully he has really good insurance, and knows a good therapist. This is my first attempt at writing a story with some darkly-comedic undertones, but I'm not sure if there's enough comedy for the comedy tag.
A tie-in to The Kingdom of Avia and The Eighth Sea, both of which I recommend you at least read part of first, to know more about the characters besides Bobtail and about the situation at the time of this story.
The Wayfarers
About: As a cheeky brawler, a loving changeling, a mysterious drifter, and other sordid characters try to find their place in an ever changing Equestria, they soon find that the "Land of Promise" is no where near as promising as they thought it would be. For not only are the hearts of the Equestrians slowly growing darker from the tragedies of Tirek's bout for power, unseen forces are slowly working to tear apart the paper thin peace that the Princesses have worked to maintain. The wayfarers' pursuit for 'the good life' quickly becomes a struggle of life and death, with the future of Equestria hanging in the balance.
About: After Rarity helps Rainbow Dash to clear her name, Rainbow decides to thanks her taking her for a little walk in Canterlot Hills. Cuteness happens.
About: Gilda suddenly finds herself on the street of the most famous American children's educational TV show, and meets up with its least agreeable resident.
How the Dash Stole Winter----Complete Story
About: Ever since Rainbow Dash made that unforgettable 'Grinch' face on the TV screen, many fans have responded with picture-comparisons to Dr. Seuss's The Grinch. And while some have attempted to mimic the old master's rhythmic rhyme to match the pictures----I've seen few attempt this rhyming with a full-fledged story draft. Others may try; some may have already tried, but here now is MY OWN attempt, just for argument sake. Inspired by Hasbro's MLP: FiM's "May the Best Pet Win" & "Tanks for the Memories" and Dr. Seuss's "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". This author claims no ownership of characters or story; only of this draft.
About: When two kinds of ponies who are social opposites of each other can't get along, it's up to two world-famous unicorn salesponies to arrive on the scene with the answers to their problems---and make a few bits in the process. A fiction story inspired by MLP's Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000 as well as Dr. Seuss' The Sneetches.
Cheese Sandwich Gets a 'Real Job'
About: Forced by the landlady he rents a house from to 'get a REAL JOB, or GET OUT,' the once proud Super-Duper Party Pony Cheese Sandwich, now faced with mounting debts and a drying-up party career with only dwindling income to show for it, is forced to re-examine his life, his dreams, his goals, and worst of all----face the reality of becoming a normal 9-to-5 workhorse, like 'everypony else.' Party's over, Cheese. Welcome to.... what, exactly?
About: A support group for formerly evil characters turned good is started in Equestria. Seems they've been getting a bad reputation all around the country, and so they can't get new jobs or move on with their lives. But one new member is having extreme difficulty coping with her new legal stigma, and is fearing for the future.
An Equestrian Patriotic Hymn Book
About: After a summer holiday visit to a friend in another dimension---a world with a country called America populated by humans----Twilight and Spike come up with ideas for Equestrian parody songs based on American anthems. They decide to organize a recital at Canterlot Castle to debut these songs at the next Summer Sun Celebration----and the results are, well... mixed, to say the least. Each chapter of this story features an Equestrian parody of a familiar American patriotic tune.

About: After his sister sacrifices herself to save his life from Bill Cipher, 17-year old Dipper Pines finds himself in an alternate dimension known as Equestria, where technology and magic co-exist in harmony, and the people in this world are as assorted as a bag full of Summerween candy. Some of them could manipulate magic and cast powerful spells, some had wings that, of course, allowed them to fly, and others still were seemingly normal, but had great strength. Moving in with teenage sorceress Twilight Sparkle, on whom he develops a crush on, Dipper soon discovers that he himself has the ability to control magic and cast powerful spells. But, little does he know that his old enemy Bill Cipher is planning to catch up with him very soon, and lay waste to the world he now calls home. Can Dipper and his new friends stop Bill, and will Dipper and Twilight live happily ever after? Only time will tell!

3658828 Well I think Springtime Nights is definitely one of my better works but the audience seems to like Precious Soul of Mine. I also am very fond of "Friendship Lost". There is also an upcoming fic from a contest whos results I am waiting for. I hope I won.

To be honest the descriptions themselves make little sense but I guess in Springtime Nights I am stupidly levels of vague.
Anyway what I want to say is the descriptions don't always explain what the fic is about. Strange huh?
