    Back Again

Sorry for my inactivity, but I was going through some things that I hope I have mostly ironed out at this point (but I can't make any promises in that regard). Anywhoo, Happy Easter Sunday everybody! I know things are a bit crazy for everyone all over the place right now, but I still have the hope that things will get better.

Also enjoy this new story I just put up!

Did the Rainboom Cause Other Cutie Marks?

Something has been bugging me. Admittedly it has been bugging me ever since I first watched The Cutie Mark Chronicles, but the recent season 5 finale has brought it back in full force.

    Ever Have Too Many Ideas?

Seriously, has anyone else ever had too many ideas bouncing around in their head? Here I am, trying to put the second chapter of Nightmare on Mane Street together, but my brain keeps bouncing around to other story ideas that I have (and this is coming from someone who has had so many that he has to write them down to keep track of them and they take up 24 pages of a Word document). Have I Ever Mentioned That I have Too Many Ideas and Can't Focus on Anything For Too Long? · 2:24am Nov 20th, 2015

No, really, I can't.

I have been working on Nightmare on Mane Street, but this one particular story idea has been pulling my attention away. I believe this idea may have more merit. It might make a better story than what I have out now and the concept may be more appealing to readers as well. It's only about a third of the way done, but, just to make sure, I'll post an excerpt here to see what everyone thinks and whether they'd want to read it.

Eventually Sunset Shimmer found herself in the castle’s foyer, famous for where Princess Celestia would greet the guests of the Grand Galloping Gala before they were directed to the ballroom and gardens. Just like in the rest of the castle there were servants cleaning and setting up. However, this was the first room that was started on and therefore almost done with preparations. Everypony was simply putting the finishing touches before they moved on to assist in the other rooms.

Sunset took in deep calming breath to subdue her nerves. Slowly, she looked up at the banner that hung across the entrance and held back a tear that tried to escape from her when she saw it. She could not have that. Now, in this moment, she had to remain strong. This was it. This is what everything had been leading towards for as far back as she could remember. She finally understood what Princess Celestia was trying to accomplish.

So, what do you all think? Did it pique your interest? Should I give this a go or work on something else?
