Proper Prose

Just your average guy, blundering his way through life, questioning the mysteries of the universe, reading fiction and writing fiction. Nothing to see here folks, move along.

T

Diamond Tiara hasn't been feeling too well. She hasn't gotten a good night's sleep in days. When she is sent home from school early, the young filly must face her nightmares as well as her own fears.

This nightmare, however, fights back.

"...One... Two... Frighty's coming after you..."

Story will be dark, but not too dark I hope. I just put the tag up and rated it T to cover my bases.

Thanks! When writing nightmares I typically keep this phrase in mind: "In order to write nightmares, remember thy own." Make of that what you will...:pinkiehappy:

6394954 I was talking about nightmare on elm street. Also you forgot the crossover tag :derpytongue2:

I admit that I was inspired by the movie, but this is not going to be a crossover. I'm just using a ponified version of his tune as chapter titles. Even I'm not sadistic enough to sic Freddy on the likes of Diamond Tiara... or am I?

6395061 you do your own thing. If it was me, I'd sick him on DT that b:yay:h deserves it.

Why does this not have a crossover tag? Even if this story was merely inspired by A Nightmare On Elm Street, it should still have one. The FAQ says so.

There, added the tag. As I said in an earlier comment, I'm just using a ponified version of the song as chapter titles. The inspiration mainly came remembering the song while thinking of stories for Diamond Tiara and realizing that despite being the fourth most prominent foal in the series she didn't get a nightmare episode, though Crusaders of the Lost Ark gave me ideas that basically revamp the story into a lead up to said episode. You'll see why in later chapters (right now all I have is ideas on a Word doc).
