    Ending and Moving Forward

It's been a long time coming, but we're coming up on the end of Diaries of the Anonymous Filly. There is one comparatively short chapter left (pending edit), and then the epilogue, however long it ends up. I considered dragging out the final story arc a bit longer, but honestly, I've come to a point where I'm comfortable leaving Anon's story.

    Something Neat I Found

So, like any normal author who writes fanfiction about a pony named Anon, I often browse the oc:filly anon tag on Derpibooru. Well, today while taking a look in there, I found something that really, really made me smile. Sure, these aren't my bug, Anonymous Flicker, but it's great to finally see some changeling queen Anon arts out there. I still positively squeed when I saw them.

Events to come and User Input

So now that Make Your Mark has reached its apparent conclusion, I have a vague outline for the path that Vlogs of an Ancient Insect may take. That said, I'm looking at concluding things at Roots of All Evil - Part 2 before going into an epilogue. Before I go too far with things, I thought I'd shake some things up with some community input on canon events.

    Chime in after the break.

    Going Forward

As it stands, there are two chapters currently completed, with one of them ready to go on Monday. After that is posted on Monday, I will be putting Diaries on a release and potential work hiatus until the new year. More thought needs to be put into the story's central final arc. Presently, we are in a cooldown from the Storm King's Invasion/Manehattan arcs, in what I tentatively think of as

A Question for my Readers · 9:39pm Oct 9th, 2015

I am getting close to pulling A Blouse Unbuttoned out of Hiatus, for I've started myself anew on Chapter 8 and am in the process of writing some freaky dream shit—the very same for which I am so versed in writing—when a question occurred to me. Chapter length. What do you guys prefer: the shorter stuff from 2-3k just to fill gaps as Slice of Life stories are wont to do, or longer chapters ranging from 5-10k words? Would you rather I keep it short unless I deem it necessary to drag it on [like a dramatic scene], or do you wish for things to be a bit more fleshed out?

Either is fine, but I know i like shorter, more frequent updates

Personally I feel like each chapter's length should really depend on the chapter itself. Either way, I'm glad you're bringing A Blouse Unbuttoned back, that was one of my favorite stories on Fimfiction! :yay:

I like longer updates because they tend to be more substantial in terms of being a kind of self-contained story.

I'm still questioning why I'm following the damn thing! I haven't even read the first chapter yet!

3456405 is it because I am somehow charismatic enough to catch your attention? Am I a wild and crazy guy?

When the story is compelling, I find that a 10,000 word chapter ends far too soon.

3456446 .... This is LITERALLY my first time directly talking to you..... So not likely.

Most likely case? I saw it and faved it for later (back when there wasn't a track or read later folder) and just never read it cause i wasn't in the mood... Sorry to be a buzz kill.

Around 4-7K for chapters is a good median amount. Not so little that it's over to quickly, but not to much that it takes a while to read.

3456494 agreed, not too long, but not too stort either.
