LOEG Stories Swap Event Revealed!

Back? Good.

As you can see, there were some shenanigans going on. Authors swapping stories to prove a point, and so forth.

So I am not sure how many people will see this, but please, read Fluttershy Wishes. My fic, Pink Dream, was very popular on Pen Stroke's account, and his fic recieved absolutely nothing. This make me feel a bit at a loss as I loved his story, and figured maybe my own regular readership could appreciate it, but I suppose not then. So please take the time to read it now.

Now, about LOEG itself. We weren't doing this to prove FIMfic is something horrible or that if you like popular authors, you're wrong. If anything, this was done more for having fun and spreading around some works of authors that weren't popular. Most of us felt horrible that the popular authors, who DID end up writing good stories, ended up getting little int he way of exposure. But at the same time we figured that is what would happen. Most of us only had days (crunch time and all that lol) of our stories being on the site. Yet, when popular stories got more hits, we weren't very surprised. Merely by follower count alone, we should (and did) see it coming, and once you get enough to hit that side bar and the top fic box, well, you know what happens from there. But that's just how it is. It isn't bad or good really.

The prompt that Pen and I shared was a pony finding a genie's lamp and getting three wishes. Pretty simple, and because both of us hadn't had much exposure to fiction with genies, the tropes seemed to be there. We even both had the "third-wish-reversal" trope, which Inquisitor seems to know much about. But we both really enjoyed our fics, so I hope everyone else reads both of them and enjoys them as well.
