Release The Kraken! ...Er, I Mean, Crossover! · 2:41pm Aug 1st, 2015
At long last, after years of writing a mixture of serious and lighthearted pony stories, most of which were completely ignored by the FimFiction community...I have returned to my crossover roots.
Fillies and gentlecolts, I give you An Inkling Of Friendship!
After two months of constant Turf Wars and a lot of confusion as to why there was only one Splatoon/MLP crossover on Fimfiction, I decided to throw my keyboard into the ring. Hopefully many others will follow in my footsteps, because honestly, I don't quite feel qualified to write a story like this. (Then again, I'm more qualified to write about Splatoon than I was to write about Mortal Kombat, and that turned out okay.)
I see AIOF taking a few interesting turns in the chapters ahead. After all, the Inklings and Octarians are fighting over the same piece of ground, which is a problem Twilight and Co. have solved before. That, plus the fact that I need to justify the "Adventure" tag, means the ponies may be headed to Inkopolis in the future...
Bottom line: I'm really excited! But it seems there's one creature who doesn't share this excitement...
Come on, Angel, don't look at me like that. I'm still going to work on An Angel From Above. In fact, Chapter 3 of AAFA is now at the head of the queue, and will (hopefully) be released later this month.
Back when I finished Grounded, I swore that I would never have two incomplete stories at the same time ever again...and now here I am, surrounded by Gavalians and Octarians as I work on what will hereby be known as "the An twins." Really, though, it's a good problem to have: Switching back and forth between stories wards off writer's block (at least one of the stories is moving forward all the time) and helps things stay fresh, as Callie and Marie might say. The real question is, can I minimize the new chapter wait time? ...I guess we'll find out!
Anyway, that's all I have to say. Thanks for reading, and keep on splatting!
(EDIT: One last thing: Rest in peace, Lynn.)
