Hey, Wonderfolk. Sorry about that scare, uh... two months ago? I didn't think people would get so up in arms. Really sorry if I caused anyone alarm or distress.
I was inspired by a rather forthright comment on my user page to do this right. So here's the short version: After giving myself several challenges to keep Ponky alive (stories to write, interactive blog things) and failing over and over and finding no joy in it all, I decided it was time to hang up the mantle. So here's the real goodbye to all you truly wonderful Wonderfolk.
There comes a time, I suppose, that everyone moves on. I didn't think that would happen to me. I thought I would be a brony forever. I still love the show and the Elements of Harmony changed my life and fanfiction is awesome and a lot of you are my friends, but I just don't feel it anymore. I hope you understand.
You've been great and I appreciate so much your support. Watch for Ky Burton out there in the real world. If I ever get famous and you find a way to send me a message, just include your Fimfiction username and the word "Wonderfolk" and I will be delighted to reply.
My life is great, there's nothing to worry about. I've never felt the inklings of suicide or long-term depression. Maybe I'll drop back in every couple of months (or years) or so and see who's still around, but honestly I doubt it. If you need to reach me, go through Skirts. His companionship is the best thing I got from this fandom and I plan to keep it up forever.
Thanks to all my favorite bronies (you know who you are) for your long support and inspiration. Thanks to all the readers of my stories and the compliments and helpful critiques. Thanks for listening to the music and singing or dancing along. I love you guys. You truly are wonderful.
And for whatever reason you became part of the Wonderfolk, I can only say that along the journey I hope you laughed or learned something.

Well, it's been a slice. Besides, you don't want to end up like Tom Batiuk of Funky Winkerbean. Right now, he's setting things up so that his main character pretty much murders his wife via time travel gone wrong because he ran out of ideas two time skips ago.

You made me think, you made me cry once (well, it wasn't that bad...) But best of all, you where Ponky. And to anyone on this site that wanted to say something you where a listener, an advice giver, a constant source of encouragement. You where a friend. And that's something I can't repay easily. I never really knew you, I'm afraid. I've listened to a few of your songs (namely, the Skirts-related ones), and I just recently read The Sisters Doo, but that's pretty much it. I do plan to read and listen to your other fics and songs, though. Too bad I have to do it after you're gone. Ah well, I suppose that's just how the cookie crumbles. I'm sure that I speak for everyone when I say that will will look out for you, and we will remember you, and maybe someday we can get together again and remember.
The real world out there is slowly catching up to all us bronies. We will never forget the times we've had. We will not regret the fun, or the skills and lessons we have learned. But we have to admit that someday, somehow, this will come to an end, these websites will die, and someone out there will sit crying over the last post, but until that time we can have our fun.
