Fiesta Equestria!: What happens at FE!, stays at FE!.... hopefully · 8:12pm Jun 28th, 2015
I learned many things this weekend at the Fiesta Equestria convention, and I thought it would be nice to share
1) I should never be allowed into fanfic creation panels. Especially when the only goal is making a bunch of random crackfics. It's like letting Sauron forge the one ring. It leads to incredibly awesome power that shakes the very foundation of the earth, but it's also a /very/ bad idea.
2) When attending an after-panel 18+ 'incredibly bad fanfic' reading, hosted by Baratone (love this guy by the way), make sure you are at the very least buzzed, and always bring a bit of extra scotch in case he runs out. It's also highly recommended that you leave your sanity outside the room.
P.S. That reading was one of the most hilarious things I have ever attended. Before I ran out of recording space, I recorded a good half hour of the reading, which I am more than happy to send to anyone who wants to see it. Be warned though! It is most /definitely/ 'R' rated, and not for those easily offended by strange and weird stuff.
3) Apparently, I am even more incredibly hilarious when running on 4 hours of sleep and 5 bottles of Mountain Dew. (As you may see if you watch the video)
4) Always be aware of your surroundings, because you never know when you'll literally step on 50 bucks. (And before you ask, yes, I did the right thing and asked around and tried to figure out who lost it before keeping it)
5) Playing card games against me (really any game requiring strategy) is a very bad idea, especially when betting on who's going to win. (Still undefeated! Woo! And if you were wondering, we played the "Twilight Sparkle's Secret Shipfic Folder" card game, along with "Cards Against Humanity", and the MLP CCG)
6) When a hot changeling randomly grabs your ass, turning around and giving her a 'bit of love' on the spot, apparently makes you a hero to everyone who saw it.
It was a good con.
