Daily Ponies 29: [G1] Mimic by Dennybutt
Saw this character and had a bit of an idea for her as a character. It's kind of obvious in away. Mimic is a master of vocal mimicry/master impressionist. On the basic level, she can adjust her voice to sound exactly like any pony that she has heard speak before. However, some take more study and research than others. More because she needs to learn certain slang terms, wording choices, and so on. So she could probably duplicate Twilight Sparkle or Fluttershy pretty easily, but needs additional research to speak the same way as Rarity and Applejack (Pinkie Pie is nearly impossible due to her tendency to make up words and often shifts into non-sequiturs).
Alternatively, she could actually be a changeling blooded unicorn, similar to an idea I previously mentioned with Trixie. Except instead of creating illusions, she is able to use her magic to -- temporarily -- make herself look like another pony. She still has to study them to properly copy their speech and mannerisms, but once she does, she could do so nearly perfectly (with some exceptions).
So if someone wanted to, they could create a story where Mimic is the main character -- or a major one -- using her abilities to help other ponies (such as covering for them), or as a spy using her abilities to gain information.
Or, someone could use the story from her original appearance and the story of the Golden Horseshoes (by the way, if anyone knows what the horseshoes are supposed to do, I'd appreciate it if you could tell me). Although I don't know what it would be like.
As an aside, if you can't tell and don't check the links, she's a Twinkle Eyed Pony. That means her eyes have been replaced with jewels.
One of the horseshoes is basically a flashlight, one lets you make a cloud you can fly on like Goku's nimbus, one lets you see the future and the last one lets you read minds. Here's a quick video that talked about the episode.
3185710 Those all sound really neat, especially since she is supposed to be able to use all four by the end of the story. Speaking of a story, someone should definitely include them in one now, even if not with Mimic.

What if Princess Celestia has them and has used them from time to time? Maybe that was how she knew about villains returning and that Twilight would defeat them.
3185795 Well, the whole story is only about 20 minutes long, so it may be worth a watch. Also, I'd prefer if someone did a story about Magic Star, an earth pony that had a magic wand that let her cast spells like a unicorn.
