Chapter 14 · 8:59pm Jun 20th, 2015

Chapter 14 is done and live!

It's taken a long time and for that, I do apologize for the length of the delay. I have been working on this party section since December and I could never find a direction that I liked for it. Autumnschild helped me find a direction to go with it and how it should be handled. Razalon the Lizardman made sure it was squeaky clean. I'm not going to jinx myself with how much longer this story has to go until it ends and the sequel begins. It seems like every time I put a number to something, it ends up doubling. So I'm only going to do that with paychecks.

The Party will be great though. So will the sequel, if you can handle Discord.

I'm really tempted to talk a bit about Blueblood. He's really grown on me as this story has been written. At first, his character was actually relatively minor, and now he's grown up to be a pretty good villain. It'll be interesting, I think, to see the reactions of when his plan starts coming together. He's got a few chips on his shoulder, and a score or two to settle.

My favorite "villain" of all time happens to be Raymond Reddington from The Blacklist. And by extension, Ultron because James Spader plays both of them. The sort of psychotic, white collar villain that will occasionally get his hands dirty if he needs to. Reddington has this interesting habit of telling a story to prove a point, never letting his full plans known, and just has this charm about him that makes him sickening, but likable at the same time.

I also wanted to take a moment to talk about the 100th episode, Slice of Life. I loved that episode, easily my favorite episode of all time because of the way the background characters were handled. Completely enjoyable, and I felt like it was done for the fans. Celestia and Luna arguing about the present left on the counter was priceless. But everything in that episode was great.

EDIT: Ohh! I believe I know what kind of headphones Vinyl Scratch wears. SkullCandy Crushers.

Now, say what you will about SkullCandy, but these headphones have a built in adjustment slide for the bass. Totally worth it. Though the one thing that disappoints me is that I thought I'd been listening to a long of songs with great bass on the internets, but the headphones didn't pick anything up. Headphones do work, but these songs had no bass.

Awesome, another chapter! Hopefully I can grab time to read it soon.

Totally agree about Reddington. James Spader really is an amazingly talented actor, as he pulls off the role perfectly.
