So here I am, logged back into fimfiction.
It was interesting taking a break. It'd have been better if I hadn't ended up working some overtime during the week, and I didn't actually get much in the way of writing done, but it was interesting. I'm probably not going to be on quite as much even though I am back for a while, because I do want to get things done.
I actually did a bunch of work on my computer last weekend. I messed around with the hard drive setup, and utterly failed to reinstall windows, migrating it to an ssd drive I'd picked up. Still, I'm dual booting Windows 7 and a Windows 10 preview now, which is something.
I also watched some epic episodes of Doctor Who. I've been plowing through the Tom Baker era, and finally got to Logopolis and Castrovalva. I've watched them before, but not in more than a dozen years.
As far as Cubic Zirconia goes, I think I'll have to work a bit on fleshing out some of the details of Scootaloo's parents and where they live, and decide if I really want to write certain scenes. For context, the next chapter is basically a framework of Scootaloo and Diamond talking, built around several flashbacks of some of Scootaloo's life. It'll mark the first time in the story that I'm actually departing from Diamond's point of view.
It'll be interesting, but I'm starting to wonder if I really want to write certain scenes rather then just do exposition. We'll see what happens.
I may end up writing something else before I actually write the chapter, just to get things flowing. I've bounced around the idea of doing a fanfic collecting missing scenes and alternate viewpoints from Cubic Zirconia, and I've got plenty of original ideas, plus two other stories that are on hiatus, of course...
Anyways, I'm back.

But seriously, nothing much. Got myself a Wii U finally! (who needs food when you can eat video games!) But... no Splatoon until next month.
Still looking for a more affordable place to live, this place is far too pricey on my own.
Red about 120k words so far this week. It's just getting hard to find good reads so probably go scavenge through other peoples libraries. Doesn't help I've been just being outside more and hanging out with an old friend. But it's been good.
They did show a 2 min trailer yesterday morning'ish with Vinyl and Octavia playing together. That was a thing.
P.S. I would love to read more scenes. It's like an important moment with Scoots finally opening up to Tiara. Just try and make flashbacks if you make them to have DT toss in a question or something and Scoots answering or telling her to not interrupt or how she was just getting to that one part.
In short, make it long!

Still don't have a Wii U myself. Beyond my computer, I have a fair collection of consoles, but my ps 3 and xbox 360 aren't accompanied by anything from Nintendo more advanced then a DSi.
I can sympathize about prices. I may live in Las Vegas, but I moved there from California originally.
Funny thing is that I still have fairly large read later lists, though I cut a lot of stuff out...
The most problematic scene would be one where Scoots is born. I'm not totally sure I can do that one justice, but I want to get across a few things that are best said then. (Though Scoots obviously doesn't remember it first hand.)
Of course, for the side project, I've thought things that'd be interesting would be the first chapter from Apple Bloom's point of view, Silver Spoon's POV of the second one, Greywithers and Filthy after Diamond leaves, a story about one of Diamond's relatives... (The second exists, though it'd need cleaning up.)

Thanks. To be honest, I've had reasonable tabs on what's going on, anyways. Talking to Elric just ended up migrating from pm to email for a week.
