My Little Exalt Chapter 02 · 7:18am Jul 24th, 2012
I just updated the Prologue and Chapter 01 with the changes from my editor, Saekwaka. There are no story changes, only grammar, spelling, and clarity (and a couple instances of an extra word or a missing word). If you've already read them, you're not going miss anything if you don't read it a second time.
I'm also in the middle of working on the next chapter, perhaps 1/4 complete. Assuming I don't get too terribly distracted, I can probably finish the preliminary draft by Monday. (Although I won't make a Pinkie Promise about that.)
The next chapter will involve at least two more characters from the MLP universe that I haven't written about yet, as well as the first major (not-totally-evil) character from the Exalted universe. There'll be another message Written Upon the Water, and we'll get to explore the coolest party creation has to offer! (Made 20% cooler by the presence of Rainbow Dash, of course.)
Based on the edits Saekwaka has had for me so far (relatively minor stuff on average) and the generally positive feedback I've gotten from you guys, I'm considering a pattern of publishing the chapter "unedited" and going back for changes afterwards. What do you think? Depending on our schedules, it would take a couple days for the editing process to finish. So the choices are to publish the chapter when it's done and go back for polish a couple days later, or hold off on publishing the chapter until it's already been polished.
EDIT: So I finished the chapter at 1:57 local time. That's pretty close to finishing it on Monday. Right...?
