another life update thing · 6:18am Mar 16th, 2015
Sorry I haven't been on here in awhile...my interest in mlp is at an all time low right now but I like to check here from time to time so it could be a few weeks before I'm on here again. That being said I have some good news! I got an interview with a company that could very well be my lifetime career! The company may also help pay for my college tuition! So, right now, my entire life is hinging on whether or not I get this job. The interview went excellently and I have an amazing recommendation from a higher up employee.
Other than that I watched "Kiki's Delivery Service" today and I thought that it was...swell...just swell. I still have seen so few of Studio Ghibli's movies but it was my favorite one so far! It was just so...inspirational and...just felt really good...and made me smile and almost cry a little (not out of sadness but just admiring something so beautiful).
Maybe I'll get to doing music reviews or some other form of writing again soon. I'm not dead on here but I actually don't care much about mlp any more so idunno...
I guess I pretty much get in here to maintain my blog and check up on the 10 whole stories I'm following on here that still haven't updated in like...a year? Half a year?
That's great news on your interview going well. I didn't know know you'd applied to college, though, so good luck!
Kiki is such a happy movie, I felt just about the same when I first saw it. The newest Ghibli film, The Tale of Princess Kaguya, is fantastic as well, if you're interested. It's more bittersweet than a lot of the studio's typical movies, but it's still well worth watching.
Yeah, it'd be nice to see some music reviews again, like you used to do. (I might want to do some more of that myself, come to think of it.)

Ah I haven't talked with you in awhile sorry for not being on/active on here for some time. It's good to talk to you again!
Well I haven't quite started yet, I was gonna wait to get called back for the job before I officially began the enrollment process. As it happens I got a call from them today but unfortunately I missed it because I was working at another job. But that means I probably got the job because they don't call you back to say your not hired (I guess lol?). So after I get all settled in I'll be starting my associates in electrical engineering with hopefully a focus in robotics later in down the road.
Kiki's was really great! It was a really good comfort movie but as it happens I was already pretty happy while I was watching it so it just improved my mood even more...I imagine I'll be watching that movie many more times in the future (which is something I rarely do, even with movies I enjoyed). I didn't know about The Tale of Princess Kaguya but I'll definitely watch it. My ghibli queue was The Wind Rises -> Totoro -> Spirited Away but I'll probably watch Princess Kaguya after The Wind Rises now. After that I'll just watch the rest that I haven't seen yet in any order.
Haha I actually had some albums I wanted to review before I stopped getting on here as much so I'll probably do those and see where it goes from there!

No need to apologise, it is nice to talk again. It sounds like your chances are good to me, and electrical engineering in robotics sounds really cool. I hope it all goes well for you.
That's what Ghibli does really well, in my opinion: comfort films. The only ones I prefer to those are the inspirational films, those that remind the viewer of all that they can be and leave them feeling optimistic about their own chances in the future. (I suppose Kiki also does that to an extent.) I do still come back to My Neighbour Totoro in particular when I've been going through a bad spot, because it never fails to cheer me up. But they're all great, really.
