okay I gotta talk about capsule silence xxiv (album? review) · 7:57am Apr 13th, 2016
let me preface this with saying that what capsule silence xxiv actually is. technically, it's a game made by (or for, idk) anamanaguchi. anamaguchi "leaked" an unfinished prototype of the game. apparently though this was a PR stunt to release...an album? Maybe? (think boc and tomorrow's harvest promotional thing or aphex twin with syro). word on the street is that the music released as capsule silence xxiv is a bunch of b-sides for their yet-to-be released album "USA" but as far as I know that is unconfirmed.
anyway...I love it...like perfect 10 love it. that, however, is my subjective take on it (also I've been a HUGE fan of anamanaguchi for YEARS now). trying my best to be objective I'd still say it's a solid 8. capsule silence xxiv is almost completely electronic with....like...1 track that I can think of that has guitar (PMdawn)...so...thats new.
anyways I cant really say if you'd like this album. like with worlds I found it...sort of...personal...I guess...emotional. I have a lot of emotional attachment to these tracks. so that's why I have a harder time trying to gauge an objective score for this album. if you've got the time go ahead and give it a listen, I'll link a YouTube link I found of the whole album. also it should be noted the whole thing is free online at http://anamanaguchi.com/CAPSULEDEV/
if it's true that these tracks are b-sides to "USA" then I'm expecting great things out of "USA". I, personally, don't think they are b-sides...the songs are way too good to be b-sides. unless they thought so too and that's why they decided to release them seperetly...that would make sense.

it should be noted that the last 6 tracks on that video aren't credited to any artist. it's probably anamanaguchi but I left those last 6 out of my "favorites" but some of the tracks are really good.
