Welp, my hard drive crashed. · 10:39pm Mar 1st, 2015
Which means one of two things. One, that the chapter I wrote is recoverable and it'll be a bit late, or two, that it's gone for good and I have to rewrite it, and it will be slightly more than a bit late. Either way, it'll be a delay. Thank god my boyfriend is a computer nerd; he figures he can fix it pretty darned quick.
Everything else I had, like notes and previous chapters are all still around backed up onto an external drive, thank goodness. I just forgot to copy over the most recent chapter.

Google drive is too buggy for me
Normally I'm good with keeping backups, but the one time I didn't bother to do it and as sure as you were born my drive crashed. Bloody figures, eh?

If the drive just doesn't boot it may still be readable if you hook it up to another computer. If you don't have another computer you can boot from a linux live CD or USB drive and read the old drive from the uploaded operating system and email it to yourself with firefox which comes with linux.

Dunno, never really tried them. I don't really like the idea of saving stuff online though, thanks to my very unreliable ISP.

Uhhhhh... all I got from that is "boot". Rest assured I gave my computer a good boot when it refused to start. I am very computer illiterate; my boyfriend's the resident computer geek. I don't really understand what he's doing to the darned thing, but I trust him with it.
(I'm having fun on his super-uber fast laptop in the meantime anyways.)
