Stuff Most People Probably Don't Care About · 12:27am Feb 23rd, 2015
Okay, so I recently put my story The Manehattan Crusaders on hiatus. This is because of a little secret to the writing for that story. The "secret" is that I didn't do any (successful) planning at any point when writing that story. Therefore, when I write, I just write whatever comes to my mind. If I don't like what I wrote, I go back and change it. But I never plan. I tried once... and ended up going off course by the time I started writing it again.
Anyway, I put the story on hiatus because, when I write that way, I need to have the time, energy, and drive to write at all. My newer story A New Hope was almost completely planned out before I even made the characters. This made it a lot easier to write, because all I had to do was find the time to write everything down. But, if I write for my other story, I need to be in the right mood. It's kind of hard to explain, but I need the right setting for me to write. I need to have the right inspiration. And lately, I just haven't had this.
I might be able to work on it again at some point, which is why it's only on hiatus for now. A lot of personal stuff has been going on and I think I just need a break from it all before I can do a whole lot of writing. If I can't fix a few things though, I might have to cancel it. And I really don't want to do that, seeing as I worked on what I currently have for about three months straight.
