Wow. I made this account three years ago to the day. I used a February writing contest as a way to break the ice and finally take a step into the creation of fanfiction. The story in question, Tears of Melted Snow, wasn't all that great. It's a story that if it belonged to someone else, I'd just as likely stop reading halfway through as I would finish it. But I do like the fact that it pushed me into creating this account, and it also reminds me of very humble beginnings. A month later, I had started writing Scion of Chaos, and it all grew from there. It's been the greatest journey of my life. I have learned a lot about writing, myself, and the passions of others.
It has been a very enjoyable three years, and I wish to thank all of you who partook in reading my stories, commenting on them, and interacting with me; for meeting me at BronyCon last year; and for writing stories that inspire me in turn. It is because of this experience that I am able to see a path, jagged and uncertain as it may be, toward my dream of being a professional fantasy writer. I still have a long way to go, and each step is a treat to look forward to.
Sorry for the previous month or so of no updates on anything. I wasn't doing any writing during that time. Apathy had taken hold and I was doing quite a bit of binge-watching of anime (maybe a dozen or two different titles that I had missed over the years. Probably around 300-350 episodes?). During which, I came across a series that I now consider to be my favourite anime, (though who knows how it might mellow with age?) Watching it reminded me of my own goals, and spurred me back into doing some writing every day. It also reminded me that regardless of how mundane a premise might seem, strong characters and passionate writing will be able to make a story shine and make you look forward to more.
So Chapter 24 of A Heart of Change is now sitting at 6000 words, and it will be at 6500 or more by tonight. It's on its way. I'm looking forward to how this story will eventually conclude, and I hope the chapters continue to surprise, impress, and/or entertain you.

I can empathize with the apathy and binging, though in my case, the binging was more reading and gaming lol (PWI, HAWX, TF2, BF3, CoD:MW3, ect)
