"Hello, my name is Twilight Sparkle, and this is a short, meta-tastic message to everybrony following the story Bechdel's Law!
The author would be here to tell you all about it, herself, but because she missed a deadline she has locked herself into her room to continue editing stuff. I believe she thinks this to be a form of penance, maybe? I dunno. I mean, I don't approve of being tardy, obviously, but the whole using-match-sticks-to-prop-her-eyes-open thing just seems a tiny bit extreme. I mean, talk about going overboard.. I'd never go that far. Heh.
But I digress! When she staggered by here to get another few liters of coffee just now, she told me to tell you, faithful reader, that the next chapter of the story is currently finished and being proofread through the Magic of Friendship. So apparently, we're finally going to get to hear Rarity's story! I know Applejack has been impatiently eager to hear that one.
She also mumbled something about it being over 15000 words in length, and that it ties in very closely to the next chapter, which is apparently 90% finished already and currently comprises over 10000 words. (Sorry if I've gotten those numbers wrong - it really was quite hard to make out what she was saying.)
Oh! And I almost forgot: some artwork of yours truly has been added to the first chapter. Maybe you already gathered that from the image at the top, there. So even if you've already read that one it might be worth having a second look. I generally recommend doing that, anyway; research has shown that knowledge retention is greatly improved by--

Uh, right. So. There's more on the way, apparently - including some new cover art, and additional illustrations for the other chapters. And hey, what's this? (magically unfurls the paper) A sketch of another picture of me--? H-hey now, hang on a minute here! This is--This one's really dirty! Oh sweet, merciful Celestia... you can totally see my flank and everything.. And that--that's not icing... This isn't going in there! It's not!

Oh this is terrific! Don't get yourself burned out on our account, great stories are worth waiting for... at least that's what I have to tell everyone who says I need to write more/faster

D'aww.. Thanks for offering to help, hon! It is very much appreciated. And I dunno; what the hell AM I doing? XD Also I mostly wrote the other ponies in this chapter. Rarity was tackled by my co-author, who's rather known for his awesome story concerning her. o.o

Not burned out, don't worry! It's just that writing together with someone else, live, really appears to inspire me and drive me on to write faster and better. We wrote the 18000 word original draft together in like 9 days... Then ended up splitting it into two chapters when revisions and additions brought it to 25000 words. o.o; I just got so caught up in it that I have been losing a bunch of sleep, haha. But I can handle it. And thanks for the offer! Can probably use all the help we can get.
Yeah, mine was like.. the first commission in his entire current list that featured non-anthro, main pones. o.o

You know. The actual pic is just a hot post kiss. The way it's cropped that the top of the blog post makes it kinda look more possibly ambiguous as to where her mouth just was.
