Black Tailed Bees (Carthaginian war/folk song) · 5:28am Jan 16th, 2015
This is a popular Carthaginian folk song sung by soldiers in the army. Due to logistical reason, the average infantry unit mostly fed on water, coffee, chocolate, bread, and stew. However, a very popular treat among Carthaginian soldier was a species of scorpion that was commonly found in both Carthage and parts of Equestria. The scorpions were roasted over a fire and were said to be very delicious. Because of the scorpions black color, they were called "black tailed bees" and this song was written about them.
Resting with my unit on a summer's day;
Eating with my soldiers and talking time away.
Resting on a Panzer relaxing tired knees;
Goodness how delicious, eating black tailed bees!
[Chorus]
Bees, bees, bees, bees, eating black tailed bees;
Goodness how delicious, eating black tailed bees!
[repeat chorus]
When Celeste's triggers* come marching there's a rule;
For men to shout their highest "Pony you're a mule!"*
But there's another pass time, more pleasurable than these;
Is filing your canines. eating black tailed bees!
[Chorus]
Bees, bees, bees, bees, eating black tailed bees;
Goodness how delicious, eating black tailed bees!
[repeat chorus]
Just before the battles starts, the marshal walks a row
He says "The colts are coming! Now load your rifles now!"
He turns his head to give command and what you think he sees?
His Panzergrenadiers, eating black tailed bees!
[Chorus]
Bees, bees, bees, bees, eating black tailed bees;
Goodness how delicious, eating black tailed bees!
[repeat chorus]
I think this song has lasted, almost long enough;
Our unit is advancing and war is mighty rough.
But when this war is over, the fatherland succeeds;
I'll make love to my darling and gobble black tailed bees!
[Chorus]
Bees, bees, bees, bees, eating black tailed bees;
Goodness how delicious, eating black tailed bees!
[repeat chorus x2]
