Because I haven't a single original bone in my body
Contrary to popular belief, this was not an easy thing for me to write. I fumbled with it, tweaked and re-tweaked it, but ultimately just delayed writing the last 25% of it. Those of you masochistic enough to read the fic will likely find out why. It's been a long time since 2011, and nowadays I'm more keen on ponicuddles than ponicontusions.
Some of you might remember this blargh. Nietzsche knows I don't. Yes, I paid heed to most of the comments. Hopefully it paid off. Sometime soon, I might slap down some slice of life fic about giggling foals just to show that I'm not all blood and misery. F'naaa.
As for things in the realm of general Skirts-verse, I'm working on something that's more or less been in the planning for a year and a half. It means a lot to me, and it means a lot to someone else as well. It's going to be long, and it's going to utilize more effort than y'all are used to seeing me apply in my usual drivel. But that's because it's not my story. More on that later, assuming I get permission to chat about it.
In the meantime, let's have some adorascoots, cuz I know I could use some.

Someday you may write a story that is balanced, based on philosophies rather than expousing them; containing exciting action and adventure which does not necessarily involve angst or death; contains adorability without indulgence; contains deep bonds between friends with no innuendo; and contains feels that flow from positive emotions rather than wrung from the heart like a bloody tampon used for emergency field triage at an orphanage accidentally blown up by a predator drone because one of the kids was wearing a fake beard.
Someday you might find importance in all those softer, nuanced emotions that make up the broad range of feels rather than the peaks and valleys of an elephant in must having a coronary and an orgasm at the same time.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
I'm always looking forward to anything featuring Dinky, and that your special someone has something to do with it makes me even more excited. Can't wait to see it.

I've been struggling with a renewed bout of depression for months. I've spread myself too thin to get any editing done for my friends; my boyfriend broke up with me yesterday to "discover himself"; I cried just an hour ago because the western world is laughing at the dying children in Africa...
