Growth Spurts Chapter 4 (finally), and some idle musings

Sorry for the long absence. Ended up taking a break from writing after finishing HMSS, and it lasted longer than I expected. Motivation is a fickle little bitch.

I'm pretty well into the next chapter this time though. This was actually going to all be one chapter, but it was rapidly wandering north of the 10k word range, so I broke it up a little bit.

I also spent some time working on a couple of different Spike/Rarity side projects. Nothing concrete enough to post yet, but one of them is close. It's a sequel to Purely Scientific Interest, for those of you who remember that fic, and I might start putting that one out soon (it won't be as long as HMSS, but it will be a short chapter-fic rather than a oneshot, maybe 3-5 chapters total.) The other one is a lot more self-indulgent and basically just an excuse for me to write copious amounts of Sparity porn, as though the aforementioned fic wasn't enough. What can I say, it's my favorite couple.

Speaking of shipping, I've been tempted to try a Rainbow/Soarin' or a Twi/Flash fic. Nothing concrete yet as far as actual ideas go, but I wouldn't mind exploring some other pairings that don't involve draconic double-penetration. Let me know what you think, if you feel so inclined.

I've always been a big fan of Rainbow Dash/Big Macintosh. Just think those two would fit well together, offset each others personality. But Soarin/Dash is cool, too.

Any of the above sounds pretty good. I could see the TwiFlash fic being a bit of a sequel to HMSS even, princesses and guardsponies runs in the family, so to speak.
