I lost my job recently so I have no money but lots of free time. I'm currently staying at my parents house. Been thinking of using my time not looking for a new job to finally learn some skills that I never had the time to before. Right now I'm learning Japanese, how to draw anatomy, and playing guitar. I'm going to also maybe try to start writing again again again, making electronic music in Renoise, and maybe field recording.
So far I've applied for a job at Southwest Airlines in Houston and thinking about applying for a job at Amazon in...Hebron, Kentucky. Ideally, I'd like a job somewhere in Dallas, Texas but beggers can't be choosers.
Yeah, I heard on Tumblr. Sucks about your job, but it's good to hear you're making use of your time and looking for more work.
I've started taking Japanese lessons myself, and they're really good fun. Whenever I get stuck at a point with my regular Uni work (which has started to take up much more of my time) it's always nice to take a break and study some Japanese instead. Good luck with learning guitar and making electronic music, too; they're both really satisfying things to do.

Yeah :( it does suck but I'm trying to stay positive about all this and keeping busy really helps!
That's awesome! That you're also studying Japanese! It's really fun I have to admit. Just thinking about the possibilities that it will open up in the future. Like...not just for anime but also because I have a Japanese grandmother who I'd like to understand better (she can speak English but it so hard to understand her because she has such a thick Japanese accent) and that there's a family trip planned for Japan in like...2016.
Honestly, taking up all these hobbies makes me not want to find another job but I also don't want to be a burden on my parents.
