So, I just updated "God, the Devil, and Ponies." I've been writing in it all day. It's painfully fun.
I say that because I'm actually a believer, and yet I'm writing about Lucifer like he's this witty, likable guy. And the craziest part is, it totally makes sense! I'm primarily using the Bible, "The Screwtape Letters," Dante's Inferno, "God, the Devil, and Bob," and ancient Christian mythology to shape my version of the Adversary. I've really solidified his character in my mind, and you'll get to know him and his motives better as more chapters are posted (assuming you don't get horribly offended at some point and pray for my damnation).
Anyway... I just want you all to know that you're not alone if you feel kind of guilty about liking GD+P. If you love it, let me know. It'll remind me that this is just a work of entertaining fiction using strong, contrasting characters to produce some hearty laughs. Besides, it's super fun to write.
Devilishly,
Ponky
