I remember the site-wide surge in favorites when Tracking was merged into Favorites. This will be the opposite. You may see a bunch of authors bemoaning that their stories have become less popular. They haven't. A source of false popularity has just been cleared off.

I'm not opposed to the update, I'm just intimidated by the reshelving work. I'm terrible at reshelving stories. There's not merely a book on my desk, but a pile on the floor to my right.

I'm now wondering what it says about me that my books are all neatly shelved (except those I'm reading, which are in easy grabbing distance of my bed) and my floor is covered in washing up.

Probably that I need to do some washing up.
