So, Equestria Daily's latest Drawfriend Stuff has a picture of Princes Blueblood and Applejack in love.

My question is: how do you think this happened? What could have possibly happened to make Applejack fall in love with Prince Blueblood? How did they meet? How did they get involved? How did their friends -- especially Rarity -- react?
Please leave ideas and thoughts in the comments. I'm a little tempted to try and explore the possibility at some point in the future.

I've actually had an idea for a story for a few months that would either be Blueblood/AJ with Fancy Pants as a side character or Fancy Pants/AJ with Blueblood as a side character. The plot would basically be lifted from this song that inspired the idea.
One of these days, I'll get around to writing it.
Blueblood worked at Sweet Apple Acres as a punishment for his behavior, and he began to fall for Applejack. At first, Applejack rejected his advances, thinking he was the same old snob of a prince he always was. It was only over several months that Blueblood convinced Applejack that he had truly turned over a new leaf, and with that the two were in love.
Naturally, all of Applejack's friends were shocked. They could hardly believe that Prince Blueblood would ever change, let alone fall in love with a humble farmer. Rarity was speechless, and for weeks she kept thinking it was all some sort of sick joke on Applejack's part.

Oh but let us be serious, for this ship to work, AJ will face some degree of scrutiny from family for getting a none earth. Blueblood will be questioned over his sanity.
And they met, AFTER seasosn 4 as she gains whole country saving status thus rendering her royalty and means, she is royalty for Bueblood to extort but find himself slowly falling for her... Well toned physique.
My theory is alcohol.

After the events and being humbled by Celestia over how maybe he should reflect on not what worth there is in a title, but what worth there is in a pony's heart, leads Blublood to taste the piece of cake that Applejack made out of her apples he had declared to be 'carnival fair' foods.
Upon tasting it and reflecting on the evening from Rarity's POV and the kind mare he'd insulted who put much heart into her foods, that maybe he did, possibly, overreacted. This stuff mainly coming from what would have to be a pretty epic speech about not taking a title so seriously you overlook the reason ponies even regard the title with any preconceptional awe.
Who knows, maybe AJ just happened to be catering and she makes a quip about what he thinks about her carnival fair food now. Maybe Blueblood has just had such a sheltered life that he just didn't understand anything outside of the nobles the royals are allowed to mingle with? Like, AJ and him just somehow end up having this WILD night that revokes his unspoken title of Bluballs. AJ turned him into a true stallion that day? XD
I got nothing. I honestly can't think of any sane reason those two could get together.
