Just One of Those Days · 5:54am Sep 12th, 2014
I feel like such a useless waste of space right now. Over the course of the past 24 hours I have accomplished literally nothing of note. Not even my dedicated hour of writing (I found a new game that I was mildly addicted to for about an hour and a half leading up to this blog. A Dark Room, if any of you know it). At school we did nothing today, had a sub in one class, watched a movie in another, and I never to anything in Journalism until we start producing the first term paper. The teacher is still getting the grade 10's accustomed to the programs and everything, so I got to play Tetris for an hour and a half. Not to mention my dinner was a couple pieces of chicken and a big-ass brownie.
Like... today was just one of those days where nothing got done. At least it doesn't look like Christmas outside my house anymore...
So I have done nothing for 24 hours. Half of me is guilty because there are things that should be done, the other half is chilling out in a lawn chair because fuck it; I need a break every now and then. I haven't decided which one I'm inclined to agree with yet.
Anyway, some updates on my stories. Imposter is almost ready. I just need to.... totally rewrite about a thousand words, and I'll probably be adding another 500 words onto that, so.... ugh. I don't wanna deal with that. Missing Dreams is ready to be written finally. I've been puzzling over how I want to do the next scene in the chapter, and I finally found something today, so I'm going to write as much as I can tonight after this blog. I'll probably get 500 words or so, if it goes smoothly. If not... well, break time!
I do hate taking breaks though. It doesn't feel right for me to just drop everything I was working on, even if it's just for a day or two. Expect Imposter by the end of the weekend if I can convince myself to bit the bullet and rewrite that. Missing dreams should only take a day or two now that I know where I'm going with it.
So, before I go, have a song I've been listening to on repeat for the past couple days. Everyone has heard it, but surprisingly few know the actual song. It's used in commercials a lot.
NOOOOOO!!!!! WHY MUST YOU STICK AWESOME SONGS IN MY HEAD!?!? WHY?!?!?! no but seriously I probably will be having this on repeat for awhile.
Also, Dude take a fucking break! You deserve it!
Breathers are good things, speaking from experience. Helps the sanity. Nothing wrong with being lazy now and again.
