And now, Back to your Regularly Scheduled Twidash · 6:16am Jun 10th, 2023
Okay, I... think I'm done.
Y'all may have noticed the recent stories have been, uh, not my usual affair.
I found the thousand words challenge whilst perusing the site, and got an idea.
Then another.
And another.
So yeah, I tossed my hat into 3 of the categories. I don't have any ideas for the other categories so I think that's gonna be it from me, now back to your regularly scheduled Twidashing.
I have to say though, it was fun writing for a contest again. I haven't participated in a contest since... uh... the old Twidash group competitions back in the day. Cheesus that was ages ago now, huh? Maybe I should see about putting together something Twidashy for old time's sake...
Also, with the strict 1000 word limitation it was both... freeing and challenging. I was able to play with shorter ideas that I wouldn't normally consider writing without a larger, fuller story to support them, which was fun, but also holy hell not going beyond that 1K mark is hard. I overshot it by like, 200 words every time and had to start throwing out scenes and extra flavour stuff. Really prune them down to the bare essentials required for the ideas. Honestly not sure how I did, but you guys will be the judge.
Okay well actually the contest judges will be the judges but... you know what I mean.
Also, I think I may have a problem with change/moving on. Like... literally all three of my contest entries focused around it in some fashion, as did my last twidash I'll Wait for You.
Maybe I should talk to someone about that.
Or I can keep self-medicating with ponies
Speaking of Twidash, I think it's time I write something fun and fluffy. Those entries were fun, but man are they downers. And TBH Kiss of the Alicorn was not a good thing to write for my mental health. So expect something light-hearted soon. Maybe not quite as light hearted as morosexual. though. I feel like... making the cute ponies snuggle, maybe.
I've also got some big projects, as well as working on reviving some old projects, stay tuned for that.
Until next time,
Kodeake out
