700 Followers! Whoo! Also, Pick My Next Fic! · 1:40am Aug 11th, 2014
So, here we all are, Ike, Mike, and all the other 698 of you. Okay, so technically I'm a little over 700 at the time of writing this, but let's just pretend it's an even 700 to make things easier. Anyway, last time I celebrated hitting a milestone in followers I was at a mere 150. Now, a year(ish) later, through sheer force of will, and writing 17 billion fics, I've somehow managed to crawl my way up to 700, which isn't really a particularly significant number, but I didn't want to wait until 1000 to do one of these celebratory posts. I'm not even sure I'll ever reach 1000. But enough about that. This post is for you guys, for all the people that followed me, for whatever reasons you followed me. I know a not-insignificant portion joined because of a certain story involving a certain unicorn supremacist, and I know a good portion clicked that follow button because of Letters From a Friend at the End of the World (which will update soon, I promise), but I'm willing to bet that most of you followed me simply because I write a lot of comedy.
Y'know what? At the risk of sounding incredibly sappy, I fucking love you guys. Everyone goddamn one of you that has followed me has inspired me to keep going, even when I thought it'd be easier to just quit writing horsewords altogether. I've had a lot of fun writing the silliest stories about dog seppuku, Bonkerslestia, Eyebrow Princess, and of course Scootadeath. Don't worry, if it sounds like this is my farewell speech, it ain't. I've still got a million more ideas I need to write, and so many stupid stories to unleash on an unwitting public. But hey, that's where you guys come in.
See how the title up there says "pick my next fic"? Right, well I've decided that since I owe all my success, however you want to quantify that, to you guys, my readers, my friends, my people-who-give-me-stupid-ideas-that-I-then-write, I'm going to let you guys pick the next story I write. We can do this one of two ways. First, I've got a list of stories in various stages of completion that I could go finish, and you guys would pick the one that I finish first. Or, perhaps even more fun, you guys come up with the most ridiculous prompts you can imagine in the comments, and the one with the most upvotes is the one I write next. Fair warning, if we do it this way, I'm not writing clop, humanized, or anthro, or crossovers. Those are the only things I don't do. Also, be aware that whatever you suggest I will likely turn into a comedy fic, so bear that in mind if you choose that path. I don't really have a good way to do this, so what I'm going to do is work off the assumption that you guys are going to pick the second option (I like that one more anyway), and wait to see the comments. However, if you'd rather I just write one of the fics I'm already working on, I'll make a separate blogpost later on with a short list that you can pick from.

Congratulations on this achievement and keep up the good work on your writing. As for fics you could write, I can't think of any interesting ideas myself, so I'd say look at the ideas you've already worked on and pick the one that speaks the most to you. I'll be sure to read whatever you plan on writing next.
Speaking of which, I need to start reading "Letters From a Friend at the End of the World". It looks really interesting.

Twilight and Celestia are havering tea in twi's new castle and chatting then suddenly FLASH MOB with tons of weird dances and lots of ponies
Those speakers looked like buildings at first glance... I suggest a fic in which Trixie turns into a Gamera-sized Giant Trixie and - rather than using her size and power to boost her ego or dominate anyone - totally freaks out.
Celestia sends Twilight a device to make her into a magical girl, but Spike ends up using it instead, turning him into a magical girl horse and he fights monsters.

Trixie somehow ends up underground and quickly runs into Daring Do. Neither of them want to be around each other but Daring has to drag Trixie along because there's no way back, and the only exit is on the other side of an underground temple laden with booby-traps. Slowly but surely, Trixie begins pulling her weight.
This has to be a relatively serious adventure, not a stupid silly comedy. Character development abound. Commit to it and I will gladly help edit it for you.

A Freaky Friday fic where Trixie ends up trading places with Celestia and has to try and run the country, while Celestia tries to reach Twilight with the rest of the Mane 6 trying to keep away the Obvious Deranged and Unstable Trixie.
Shining Armor and Cadance visit Ponyville for a festival. As twilight shows them around, Shining encounters his old ex-gf, Bon Bon. This turns out to be really awkward since Bon Bon spews out a lot of crap they've been through in their not-so-great relationship. Cadance starts to question whether Shining is really the gentle stallion he claims/acts as.
