    Virus 2020

I do hope everyone is staying safe and sane. This Covid crap has crippled a lot of businesses and many economies will be suffering for a while.
Just keep your head up and don't panic. There is life after this madness.
    Be well.

    What is to come.

Taking into account feedback and my own thoughts on the matter, here is currently my plan moving forward. Subject to change if necessary.
    1) An epilogue chapter will be done to cap the current main story into Book 1. This will not end the main storyline, only to leave a solid stopping point for the next part of the story.

I am not dead yet. Really, I'm feeling better.

If you get the quote, you get a gold star or a cookie or a gold cookie? I dunno, better than coconuts I guess.
So, long story short, life can be a brutal, brutal thing. And while I may not have it nearly as bad as others, it's rough to shoulder things on your own.

    Horse Noises

    *Horse Noises*
    *Horse Gestures*
    *Frustrated Horse Noises*
    *Horse Head Bobbing*
    *Horse Tailflick*
    *Finishing Horse Noises*

And for those of you who do not speak Equestrian, I guess I'll translate.
While the world has not fallen upon my head, spare time has been a bit tougher to come by.

Have an OC? Read below! · 2:20pm Aug 7th, 2014

Hello my dear readers. Quick side note, I should be through with the move in the next couple of weeks, so if all goes according to plan, you SHOULD have a new chapter by the end of this month (Aug). So hooves crossed and all that.

With that said, as a bit of a thank-you for your support and loyalty, I'm doing something a little special.
If you have an OC of one of the following types, contact me:
Bat-pony
Russian-style pony
English-style pony (ie. British, think Pip)
Griffon

IF your OC falls into one of these categories and your color scheme would fit into the show, I may have some cameo spots coming up in the story. Note, I'm not looking for long drawn out back-stories, a simple concept of who they are would do nicely. Simply put, I could create generic OCs to fit into the slots, but I thought it'd be a nice gesture and something fun for you readers. Please do not take offense if I decide not to use your OC, I must consider the integrity of the story first. I'm not going to jam something in that wouldn't fit. Not enough lube in the world can make a red and black alicorn OC slide into a tight tale. Sorry.

For Luna.

What about a Spanish-styled pony?

i (almost) have a nightpony that you may use.
short story here .. http://www.fimfiction.net/story/60980/no-one-but-you
i wouldnt mind if you bat-y-fied her if you think she's usable.

2351004
Hmm... Might work. I'll have to sit down and think of a Spain-city pony-pun-name. Perhaps a small regiment from the city. Hmmmmmm... but what fighting style? Rapiers? Lean-n-quick fighters with attitude?

2351009
I'll take a look.

2351020 I already have two. Caballodolid and Corcelona. Caballodolid is suppose to be Valladolid and Corcelona is Barcelona. In Spanish, caballo meas horse and corcel means steed. Also, the country can be named Espáñeja.

2351027
Take a look at this image. The mare to the right of blue-blood in the silver head-piece, does that have a Spanish flair to it? I'm honestly not as familiar with Spain's art as I am eastern Europe. Or perhaps the old admiral at the bottom better represents the culture?
http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20140505204748/mlp/images/4/41/Complete_Equestria_Games_brochette_S04E24.png

2351037 The admiral's hat looks a little Spanish, but overall, I'd say no. If you need help with Spanish language, culture, and cuisine, I can help.

2351045
Hmm... I was hoping to use one of the ambassadors as a tie-in to the Spanish themed ponies. I two middle eastern groups represented. I'll have to take some time to consider. It's possible I could do something really fun with the Spanish ponies. Did Spain ever worship the sun? Or use it as a symbol of great power? I swear they did at some point.

2351053 Worship, no. Power, maybe.

2351053 Pre-Roman Spain worshipped the Sun.

2351085
Hmm...hmmm... this discussion is giving me an idea. Thank you for chatting with me about this. I think it could prove an interesting element to use. So here's the thought:
The bat-ponies are very Luna-themed. Perhaps Romanian background. On the opposite side of the spectrum, the Spanish themed ponies are very Celestia-loyal. Seeing her as the Sun-Mother. *hoof-taps chin* I suppose I have to decide if they are a sub-race like the bat-ponies are to pegasi. Perhaps an variant of unicorns?

Sorry if I ramble, I'm bouncing ideas in my head. There's potential here.

This is my OC Eclipse Star (She sometimes wears cleopatra style glasses)
She's a transpony (like me except non pony :pinkiehappy:) and her name before transition was Shining Star. (Might be interesting because she's a minority.)
Her talent is magic much like twilight except she excels in healing magic and dark magic. (much like P. Luna)
Also her profession like mine is CRNA basically she's a kind of doctor (Not MD though Ph.D) who specialises in pain management and anesthesia (local and general).
Would really appreciate if you used my OC big fan of your work and as you can see she is pretty far from generic.
If you want you could make her English as well to fit into your theme and this would be rather accurate because I've spend a great deal of my childhood in London.
Good luck with everything!

I have a Russian pony OC and I also have a Ukrainian griffon OC. I'll send them to you late this afternoon. Both of them have appeared in stories by me.

Forest Shadow is not specifically any nationality, but you could have him be either English or Russian. If you're talking combat, my OC would fit as a scout/light infantry if you needed. His special ability is essentially wilderness survival with also having a knack for finding quicker/safer passage through any wilderness. He's not much for spells due to no formal training - weak telekinesis and all that - but by necessity he's developed a rapid and efficient short-range (about 20-30 foot distance at most for each jump) teleport for getting around obstacles/dangers.

(You'll probably want to ignore the part about him being able to fly - copying the aura of a childhood pegasus friend while suppressing his own aura/abilities for very short periods.)

Forest Shadow

2351249
Hmm... medical doctor might have a place in Trottingham. She doesn't sound like a combat medic. I'll consider.

2351275
Sounds good. The Russian ponies in my story are big time jouster-types. Lines of these guys in full plate charging down on the enemy with heavy lances. Think of the pony version of a tank. If your Russian OC is earth, then very good chance for cameo. If not, perhaps.

2351290
Yeah, unicorn-flying would off balance the story a bit. But a scout type is possible. I'll take a look at link later.

2351299

I just realised that my phone apparently can't link directly to the deviation... You'll have to scroll down to the "Forest Shadow Reference." I'd also suggest the third variation (the base, unchanged colors) because there's a history behind the rest that I'm sure you don't want to try and work into your story.

I will say that he's uncomfortable with big cities/large numbers because of a more peripheral lifestyle.

That's fine, I always thought of the Trottingham Guard having a Ranger branch to deal with the Griffon Borderlands.

>>Indigo Eclipse i just need to write him up which is next chapter but i will be having a russian type earth stallion that you can use in your story it would be amazing if you did. Here is my story if you want to look it over if you want. http://www.fimfiction.net/story/161249/brothers-for-life

OC is profile picture. Shade Darkstar is the name. Unicorn. Red coat, black mane (medium length) and tail (long length) with red tint. Eyes are a grey silver left eye has a deformity making the pupil shaped like a star and has endured a large ammount of bullying because of this and also his nationality (based off of me) is Scottish. Bit of a night owl, stays up to the wee hours reading and star-gazing. Talent is being more magicaly able at night than during the day.

2351299 Could be a combat medic or field surgeon for the purpose of the story though seeing as she is skilled in dark magic as well which can definitely be used offensively. Thanks for considering!

2351122 You're welcome. I'm dying to see a Spanish pony be used in a story.

2351561

"My name is Indigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."

:pinkiehappy:

Ember the bat-pony. Dark-blue mane and tail, green eyes, light grey coat. Very young; has only been a Lunar Guard for roughly a year. Need any more info?

Name is Black Hat. From Trottingham, tan pony, neat brown mane and short tail. Cutie mark is a book and quill. Blue eyes.

2351053 During the Late Roman Empire, of which Spain was a part, Sol Invictus was one of the most popular gods until the rise of Christianity, being used on coins from the mid 3rd century until Constantine. The worship of him translated to 'Cult of the Unconquered Sun." Not sure if this helps, I couldn't find anything on pre-Roman Spanish paganism.

As for an OC, I have (in my usage, Captain) Astrum, a long-serving bat-pony soldier in Luna's Night Guard(my Noctis Custodii)

Oh Boy! A moment where Rum could actually be useful.

Name: Rum Raisin
Species: Pegasus
Occupation: Privateer
Depiction:th02.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/i/2014/219/9/b/admiralrum_by_earthsong9405_d6qmmrt_by_haissan-d7u7hmw.jpg

He was born in the Trottingham Provence and eventually found himself working in a privateer under the local governor in the sugar islands near to Equestria's Colonies, where international trade flourishes. His aptitude for leadership and clever dress made him a draw to some of the most skilled pirates in the area also. He currently works to protect Equestria's interests through the sacking and raiding of Merchant vessels and townships belonging to other countries. He currently commands a fleet of 10 ships and his flagship, the HMS Hocksford serves the Admiral well.

Name: Spearhead
Race: Bat Pony
Employment: Night Guard
Appearance: Ash-gray cost, green mane.
Joined up as early as he could, originally from Manehatten, his skill-set in combat generally is mobile and adaptive, he would make use of the environment and the fact he has wings.
Spearhead is fast on his wings, but can't take a hit very well, so tends to focus more-so on agility. Prefers using light armour.

Well unlucky for me there, i only have a monster OC in my mind.

Maybe next time XD

Name: Longbow Apache
Race: Bat-Pony
Color: Dirt-brown
Mane: Black w/ dark red streaks
Wing-membrane: dark grey
Talent: Ballistic Trajectory (Archery/ Throwing things)
Age: 20
Gender: F
Career: Royal Guard Reserve Sniper/ Hunter
Personality: Abrupt, Shy, No sense of inappropriate conversation topics. Slightly offensive to most.

My accent is closest to a sloppy british accent and my OC is light blue with a white blue mane. If you want to know more let me know

Its my birthday tommorow so im feelin lucky and I guess I might throw one of my characters your way (not like im doin anything with em lol). Ok so this is the guy that I use as my profile pic cuz why the fuck not.
Name: jack hoofington (I know jack's not a pony name but it was actually someone else who named him and ths name kinda grew on me)
Species: pegasus
Occupation: actor/stuntpony
Personality: think johnny cage except without the energy ball throwing and british. He is a martial artist and loves action of any kind, very full of himself. Portrays himself as kind of a dick but the kind of dick you could actually hang out with sometimes (atleast 4-6 hours before you start getting that itch to ring his neck).
Parts that may fit in your story: one of the volunteer guards during the exodus his athletic build making him a good candidate for helping out with various duties while understaffed. Being an actor he would also be one to try and keep ponies entertained and keep spirits up as things look bleak (though he's generally an asshole he is very good at laughing in the face of despair and does have occasional moments of selflessness)

Im a big fan of your story so far and am glad to hear things are looking up on your end. I cant wait to continue reading it. Whether you use my character or not I'm not really concerned cuz I know either way your gonna continue being awesome!

Would a black and green Unicorn OC with bat eyes count?

I feel that the amount of griffon OC in here is too low. Have a griffon OC, and a (somewhat) brief description of him. I hope I'm not too late.

His name is Albus Goldbeak. He's the son of a wealthy griffon merchant, and he is also a bard/musician. Not too keen on violence, but knows how to hold his own. Quite laid back and kind most of the time regardless of social class, but at times he can be a little bit of a snob, though he generally means well.

Not too big into politics, and not the type to freak out over many things. Mostly interested in his music, friendship, and females, to whom he can act quite chivalrous towards regardless of being pony, griffon, or what have you, in his quest to find the one for him. Looking to become a famous musician on his own merit of skill. Wide range of musical talent, and likes to travel. Loves the workings and generally peaceful ways of Equestrian society.

Not sure how you feel on the griffon sub-type of "Owl-Griffon", but that's what he would be categorized as. Though if it's too much, it needn't be addressed.
